Ode and Merino aren’t starters. Nobody misses Ode anymore.

We were basically close to full strength, that’s our best attack Saka aside. That was also our starting midfield.

You’re going on as if we were down to bare bones and done well to get anything last night.

They may not be starters but they allow us to rotate without any significant "drop-off". If we had them both fit then maybe Rice and Zubimendi would not look so jaded.

We are witnessing the end of Arteta. Reading Orny tweet he basically says win something or he’s gone

Knowing how the club operates they won’t sack him, even if he doesn’t win a trophy.

Most likely scenario is that he’ll decide to leave himself

I don't think the Kroenkes (Josh) will stand idly by and let the club slip into obscurity again. For the yanks, didn't the Kroenkes sack Malone two years after winning the Championship because of poor results? At least Malone won something, what reason would they have to keep Arteta after another disappointing end to the season?

£1 billion spent and all you have to show for it is one FA Cup win when there were no fans in the stadiums. It's dark.

Malone's time had run it's course and clashes began with management and players.

McVay hasn't won a Super Bowl in a while, but they are still on board with him and he has kept the team competitive and in contention while rebuilding, reshaping the squad each year. But they knew going in that would happen because they had traded away draft picks and bet everything on winning the super bowl the year that they did. Knowing they might sacrifice the future a little bit was worth it in their imo.

Yes but I think Jokic got tired of him and that was really what made them act. We don't have a player as good as Jokic but I think if say Rice lost faith and suggested he might not renew or definitely if there were any grumblings from Saka, he would probably be out.

Yeah I think I remember hearing there was some tension between the coach and Jokic

They fired Malone because him and their GM were clashing which boiled over publicly and Malone was lashing out about players not watching game film for practice. Malone didn't want to use the players Booth was signing/drafting. In the end, they fired both. The old GM is actually back at my alma mater trying to resurrect the corpse of our college basketball team. University of North Carolina hired Malone since they saw him hanging around campus because his daughter is on the girl's volleyball team. Neither deserve the jobs they got after their Nuggets fiasco.

It's criminal that he hasn't signed any proper attacking players during his tenure here. Shocking that we have Martinelli and Madueke on the flanks.
Great attackers have egos and he thinks he's above managing them. Great managers harness them. Look what Enrique has done with Dembele. That could have been Mbappe too if he'd been willing to buy in. It's all well and good to build a team of nice lads who don't ruffle feathers(although he tried to extend Partey).

The problem with that is that when you need a bit of a c*nt who will go into the Etihad and get you something whether you deserve it or not simply because he knows he's good enough to score in any game and you look around and see nothing but choir boys, you're in trouble.

I have told this a 1000 times. This should be a ban on any forum calling our own manager as racist for no reason. Instead it's fostered here with even some mods joining in on the joke accusation.

You've devoted less words to criticizing the manager trying to keep an under investigation accused serial predator than you have to getting bent out of shape over obvious jokes. The moral high ground is not yours, I hate to tell you.
