Mikel Arteta: Hale End of the Window

Should Arteta’s position as manager be under threat if we don’t win the PL or CL?

Think its more nature of the defeat and the repeating patterns.

Aside from 2020 we haven't really gone very deep in any cup which is horrible(We're still technically in a semi in the carabao)

Losing to City and Liverpool is one thing but we were so awful against an awful Utd side before the sending off.

He's had a lot of time and money to fix the squad, I think overall he has done well but the time and money investment should get us more than just a few 2nd place campaigns and early cup exits.
Arsène was winning lots of FA Cups and they all hated him. What I gather from this is Arsenal fans don’t really care about the FA Cup and want to challenge for the league which Arteta is doing.

An FA Cup is a day out in the sun at Wembley if you make it to the final. We are the record winners of this cup.

Going out in the third round stage for the last few years is criminal. Arteta can’t keep hiding behind the ‘We created chances to win this game’ excuse. He said the same thing against Liverpool at the same stage last year.

Who asked you to buy a million defenders when we need cold finishers in this team.

The problem is, the FA cup looked like our best chance of silverware, this season, but the team had a stinker.

I think the team is on a similar trajectory to Liverpool 22/23.

It was so so obvious that their midfield was absolutely dusted and was holding the rest of the team back. Low and behold they singed three midfield players and they were back.

It’s so unbelievably obvious that the forwards have cost us this season.

The league is a way better barometer for how good you are tho, so I get it. Cups can be a lottery but the league table rarely lies.

You argue the salary point yet Havertz is our top scorer?

You argue the 3x more point but they literally haven't? They haven't even scored 2x more since Havertz moved up top.

Whilst I get your points you're acting like hes scored 2 goals this season. It's in the top 4 contributers in the league in 2024?
He scored 7 goals in the prem... Liam Delap playing in a 18th place team has scored more than him. This is the worst comeback of all time.

Genuine question as I don’t have the strength for debates today so I’ll just fire and forget here:

Do you understand the meaning of opportunity cost?

@Sapient Hawk- Please setup some weekly meetings to discuss our Arteta hate agenda.

Subject should be 'Arteta Haters Assemble'. Include @Rasmi, @Trilly, @Makingtrax and @2Smokeyy to the distro list. They will be our generals.
Man I don’t even hate him. I think he’s just nowhere near as good as he’s been made out to be.

His cup record is completely indefensible, transfer business questionable and eye for an attacker is crazy bad.

I’m legit wondering if people will be calling him a chequebook manager once his legacy here is done.

I don't know why anybody thought that he is so good.
Based on what?
What is his track record before Arsenal?
Pep's assistant (or as our colleague used to call him Pep's dumbest coffee boy).
He is still second rate manager.

He is good coach, but not good manager, it is evident now.
He should have experienced, elite DOF above him who is not his "yes man".
DOF who can spot talent and who can build the team, Arteta can't do that.

Arsenal Quotes

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
