First game of the difficult series and already bottled it.

Now FA Cup to save his season this time. We will see the reality at the end of the season.

With ESR, Saka and Auba back in the team I think he'll get results in the next three games. They're all difficult fixtures so he was right to rotate, at that point it's up to the squaddies to take their chance and they didn't.

They never do!

atleast we wont have to suffer them again anytime soon. We need to focus on the league anyway. The squad isnt good enough for anymore than that.

But given how few points we have on the board how likely is it we get top 4 or top 6, think this was out best chance for Europa league at the very least. A lot of the players who started today have been given chance after chance and not taken it, they were always going to be dire.

Well I have been proved correct.

The FA Cup isn't worth it we were told when slating Arteta.

Now the usual loosing their **** after loosing away to a full strength Southampton team from an OG with rested players and a blatent penalty not given.

Saints a team who go on the attack a lot more than the likes of West Brom/Newcastle yet we still didn't create many clear cut chances. Big ask to qualify for europe from here. Would need an amazing run from us and those in front to crumble.

Arteta is our Ole, just ticking us along and overseeing the squad revamp. We'll probably lose out on Tuchel, but Rodgers remains.

As long as we continue to clear out and add quality, Im good to go. Its the little things.

The refereeing in this match was very one sided, the amount of times we got fouled and nothing for it was insane. And that Xhaka through ball to Lacazette looked like a goal chance.

Added to all that the ref started shouting at Leno to not take the free kick and said not a word to Shane Long who was standing a yard in front of the ball, absoloute disgrace.

Doesn't appreciate the mighty Nacho
10th in the league and out of both domestic cups.

All we have left to play for is the Europa League and the battle for Top 8.

He needs to be pulled in for crisis talks.

I don't think top 6 is that unrealistic, Everton and West Ham will probably drop off at some point and Chelsea are in crisis. Not to mention that apart from Chelsea all the usual big six have to come to the Emirates in the second half of the season.

We saw with Tierney that you can't risk running players into the ground, and no matter what we think of them a team with Pepe + Willian should have enough about them to score at least once. Arteta was also unlucky that Auba had a personal matter to attend to, he could've provided a spark off the bench too.

Team selection was poor, that is on him, don’t get why he doesn’t prioritize the cup, when we are not gonna get top 4, the cup even gives us European football, I’ve got no clue as to why he sent out that 11

We played Southampton twice now, if Arteta can't beat Southampton, maybe we should just get rid of him and bring in Southampton's manager? Just a thought.

We're playing Southampton again soon in the PL, that's the funny thing. Let's see what Arteta fans say once he fails yet AGAIN.

Honestly can't cope with people on here at times  what the **** is Arteta supposed to do?

  • Plays a full team, people moan that we are playing our first 11 in the cup. Big player gets injured, Arteta is an idiot for taking risks when we've got important league fixtures ahead. Gets accused of running our players into the ground.
  • Rotates the team and people moan that we're playing a **** team full of underperforming players and that we should be taking the cup more seriously.
On top of that we're playing a full strength Southampton team, who have been in great form this season.

We got done by an unlucky deflection, they had one shot on target. No need to act like we got turned over, we were the better team for long spells in that game.

No crisis talks required here, he is still on track for the rest of the season.

We know Arteta's level, and this is pretty much it. He is just confirming that he is a temporary solution to a bigger project IMO.
