Mikel Arteta: The Real Deal

Should Arteta’s position as manager be under threat if we don’t win the PL or CL?

Jordan Reece leaving for Utd has clearly killed us.

Simon Murphy hasn’t been good enough.

It wasn’t Watkins or no one in the January window. The players are out there, but they don’t fit Arteta’s specificity.

The cult will never blame their leader. So it’s not surprising even at this fiasco they are still defending him. But at least now there will be some serious questions being asked within the club. If this doesn’t lead to the club getting a proper football director and they take the squad build away from Arteta. We may as well pack it in cause we are more of a joke than even I thought

I hear you but surely a failure to sign players is down to him and Edu. If Edu was at fault, then Arteta shouldn't have pkayed along. There's been plenty of money spent and most managers can't get 100 percent of their first choice targets. The Kroenke's have put up enough money in recent years.
Agree that owners have put up plenty of money and the manager makes his choices of what to do with the money. He didn’t sign enough attackers.

I also think in this situation that he asked for more money and was denied. Clearly he would not want to save money when he lost so many attackers. The question is why was he denied?

Whether you believe the accounts or not, seems like Garlick et al dropped the ball this Jan

Maybe Edu still here and he pushes things through

Backed to the absolute hilt like no Arsenal manager could ever dream of & all that ampunts to it is him cementing himself as the club's second worst manager in the past 40 years behind Rioch, whose saving grace was signing Arsenal legend & my favourite player, Dennis Bergkamp.

Emery was better than Arteta at Arsenal for you? Laughable really

Emery was given neither the time nor funds our manager has been. Even so, he is decorated far more than his opposite number could ever hope to be.

Several managers could do what he has given the same factors, but only a select few will ever get over the line to win the big pots & he is NOT among their number.

We should sever our ties lest his cowardice & stench of failure irreversibly taint the players.

Arteta has won the trophy with same set of players Emery had and couldn't win anything.

4 months ago Arteta was blamed for not using Nwaneri.
Now he is blamed that he will run him down.

Tell me, what should he do with him?
Play him but manage his minutes he is still only 17 and won’t be able to play 90 minutes week in week out. If he had played him a bit more 4 months ago maybe we wouldn’t have been in the mess

For Arsenal, how is Emery decorated?
And as for funds, please see how much Emery spent for a team not even in CL 7 years back. That was a lot which he didn't really make use of.

True, it was a lot. The issue, however, is that Emery was not at liberty to spend any of it. There was a Committee that did the recruiting & Emery was bound to play who they decided to get for him.

What players did he recruit during his brief spell?
