Mikel Arteta: Top Drawer

Should Arteta’s position as manager be under threat if we don’t win the PL or CL?

Was today his best single game managerial performance? It's this or one of the Liverpool games where you blew them away.

I know City are very vulnerable but scoring 5 with a front 3 of Trossard, Havertz and Martinelli is quite something
It might be because realistically it could have been 6 or 7 if we'd been more ruthless in the first half and their goal was Saliba making a mistake more than anything tactical.

Liverpool are not an ordinary team man c'mon. They're doing really well, they're litteraly 1st in UCL group stage.
They are exact same team that was way off title for 2 years. They changed one guy the manager and now they are a top 2 or 3 team in Europe and cantering to title

Yeah so how are they an ordinary team then? They were in a slump under Klopp and Slot got them back to their previous levels when they were competing with City and reaching UCL finals for fun.
We have to respect Liverpool, they're a great team.

Yes they are, and winning every single CL-game despite having the arguably hardest fixtures while also being top in the PL reflects that
All their best players with the exception of Szobo, who I backed and AM laughed at are older and worse versions of the players they were 4 years ago. Just like City except they got new coach and new ideas

Im hoping the day comes when you'll have nothing to say, full stop. Due to serving your 3 year ban for an Arsenal league win.

Its going to be a good day when I activate that

You might as well add me to this list, because even if he won the title I'm sure I would find something to say.

It's been 5 years, two 2nd place finishes and closing in on a third top 2 finish and I locked off the tv immediately when his post match came on.

I love the restrained anger coming off this post. It's refreshing to know that even you can get riled up if pushed far enough

And what's this 3 business? Last I remember the agreement was 2. Who snuck in another year?!!

Sapient requested the ban, hence me reminding him that I havent forgotten.

And Im sure you'll come round once you see us lifting those trophies, Im almost sure of that ;)

Anyone who doubts his coaching abilities at this point is a *****.
Yeah the guy tactically is something else. His eye for attacking talent is somewhere in the Stevie Wonder/Ray Charles category but in terms of tactics, there are very few better than him right now. A competent DOF will get this team winning everything.

The talent was there, he acquired most of it.

The problem was using it. Handbrakes? For what, not with the type of talent on this squad.

We've been screaming for playing kids and no handbrakes.

Injuries happened and some thought it was the end of the world.

It was just the beginning.

Relax Tony B no reason to get knickers in a twist. Ange beat this team of old drunks Mik has been making look good 4-0 at Etihad. Let me, let you in on a secret Tony B, managers with big trophies don’t need his online supporters giving William Wallace pep talks. They just name off titles.
