It’s the opposite actually, football was always about winning, qualifying, promotion, cups, success etc. It’s just recently it’s become about projects, phases etc.
That said, there are still big percentage of Chelsea, Utd, Sp**s etc fans who want their managers out, despite those managers getting CL football, winning cups, breaking 20 year ducks in quick fashion, or being in the job just for 6 months.

It is common practice that managers in EPL give a lot of minutes to 15 yr old kids.
"Experts" on AM have debated about that yesterday (or 2 days ago) and harshly criticized Arteta for that.
