I would argue we’ve gone backwards in so many ways under Micky.

It's just not fun to be an Arsenal fan anymore, that's the brutal truth of this past few years.
Banking on constant Chelsea rejects, looking like the least exciting team in the league and very questionable "non-negotiables" held up as some.bollocks fake standards.
Just feels kinda embarrassing now, tbh.
Yeah. The fans’ll be saying, “Iraola needs time to clear out Arteta’s sh!t and get his own players. Trust the process”.If this summer has been agony, imagine if we finish 6th next year, Mikel gets sacked and next summer will be Operation Clear the Dead Wood all over again
It was weird from day one tbh. It's just not fun to be an Arsenal fan anymore, that's the brutal truth of this past few years.

2021-2023 we looked exciting again and similar to Wengers Emirates teams. Soon as we signed Rice and Havertz; the project has been faltered. Not due to them being bad players but because we overspending
I'm surprised at the unchecked negativity towards Arteta which is usually quelled by his supporters. My biggest dislikes are the classless way he dealt with Özil and Auba, the love of a Chelsea reject, rigid tactics, overriding fear of losing and the gaslighting that the club was a total mess when he took over. The issue around Partey is just weird. Auba was paid to leave because he was deemed unprofessional. Yet, the club tried to extend Partey's contract when they must have known what was around the corner. It's not like Partey had a poor duty solicitor and Tim Lewis was a partner at one of the biggest law firms in the country. The failed extension is a bullet dodged a la Willian. In defence I would imagine that there weren't any buyers and for example, City are being sued by the acquitted Mendy, so it's possible that Partey had to play, albeit not as much. Don't forget that RvP spent a summer in prison but fortunately, his accuser confessed to lying so we've been here before. I don't think Arteta should be fired for the handling of the Partey situation as that would be a smokescreen for the bigger issue that he's possibly not as good a manager as many believe and has in fact already hit his ceiling. We are stuck with him until the squad is completed in this window but by Christmas, we should be looking with a critical, unbiased eye.
The contract renewal for Partey and the fetish for Chelsea players has really turned a lot of folks (at least on AM).
I personally think he's a top coach but the contract renewal for Partey is a bridge too far for me.
