It's like an obsessive compulsion.Genuinely can’t believe how people are in here still being negative and refusing to give him credit like we’re literally in a Champions League final.
The same top he's been using.
He strikes me as the superstitious type.
It's actually remarkable the variety of different shirts and pants he has within that one singular aesthetic.I’ve been thinking about this. How many pairs of black tops, grey trousers and black shoes do you reckon he owns? Cos it’s his uniform, never changes.

My point is nobody’s judging him off the rebuild anymore. It’s consensus that he did that part well. I’ve acknowledged that consistently during this debate (which I’m getting tired of) but it keeps getting ignored because they just assume agenda and don’t read the actual words.I’d say the fact that they are being run terribly and we aren’t is testament to how well the manager is doing? Arteta is IMO one of the few managers in the world who could have fixed Utd he would have got buy in from the board and kicked out all the bad apples from the team and done the rebuild exactly like what he did here. I think the ability to convince the board and the players to buy into the process and hold through downswings and poor runs of form with a heavy dose of haram ball thrown in is in itself a massive ability for a manager to have.
Results wise we haven’t won anything (yet) but since 22/23 we are neck and neck with City for points. That means after every failed season and the disappointment that comes with it Arteta has managed to get his team up off the canvas and back into the fight for another title race. That surely requires a level of managerial excellence to pull off.
Where?Genuinely can’t believe how people are in here still being negative and refusing to give him credit like we’re literally in a Champions League final.

It was good seeing him have faith in the whole squad with all those changes. The more players get a say in the results, the healthier the dressing room. Wouldn’t have done that a couple of years ago. He’s learnt a lot.Genuinely can’t believe how people are in here still being negative and refusing to give him credit like we’re literally in a Champions League final.
Haven’t seen any negativity for a while. If these ridiculous posts about ‘he’s done all this on a shoe string’, or exaggerate claims about the mess and toxicity he inherited would stop, we’d be all good.Where?

The club’s targets for the last 3 seasons including this one have shifted from rebuilding to competing, so any analysis should really be against other teams competing otherwise you’re just giving yourself a pat on the back for objectives you completed like 3 years ago.
I doubt Barca fans compare themselves to anybody domestically but Real, as for PSG and Bayern fans I’m sure they only compare themselves to the European elite and I’m sure everyone from the players, Arteta himself, the coaching staff and executives at Arsenal are comparing themselves to the best of the best because that’s where they want to be.
I guarantee you nobody at Arsenal gives a **** about being better than Chelsea, Sp**s or United right now.
Edited my post since. He basically made it up for engagementHaven’t seen any negativity for a while. If these ridiculous posts about ‘he’s done all this on a shoe string’, or exaggerate claims about the mess and toxicity he inherited would stop, we’d be all good.
The fact is 1) we’ve got a superb squad, despite Arteta stans moaning about them everytime we get a draw or loss, 2) we’ve had lots of money poured into the club by the owners 3) the owners have stuck with one manager and he’s very much learnt on the job. He’s still manic but there’s signs the players are living with it and coping better with the nerves.
I still don’t like his defensive style of play, but a lot of 1-0s can progress your standing if you’re not conceding. The point is if we’re finally winning trophies those of us who enjoy attacking football can certainly live with it.
I never said we haven’t.Like I said we’ve been neck and neck with City for points since 22/23. We’ve finished QF, SF and now reached the final of the CL in the last 3 seasons. We haven’t managed to get it over the line but you can’t say we haven’t been competing.
Barca will compare only with real because they are similar level clubs in that league and no else there is the same. I'm sure if they are a pl team, they'll compare themselves with the same teams. Chelsea were considered title challengers just a few months ago.My point is nobody’s judging him off the rebuild anymore. It’s consensus that he did that part well. It points out exactly what the tables show - we have either finished second 4 years in a row, or second three times and a PL while being 4th for spend and wages. That is by definition - over achieving.
That's nonsense - you can't just disregard clubs who outspent us when doing a peer comparison of total spending across the league. That's the kind of omission you expect from a rival fan trying to throw shade. Why the **** would an Arsenal fan do that?!?!?? A proper benchmarking exercise considers all clubs in the league, not pick and choose the ones that would present the club in the best or worst light.
Why don't you do it lol.
