It’s something I’ve been talking about all season. Our attacking players just aren’t top level quality (also made worse by Saka, Ode and Kai being unfit most of the time). So the only way for us to have won it was to double down on the defensive set up.

Nerves and stuff played a part but there were so many games where our attacking players just made no impact.

We need to fundamentally improve the attacking quality if we want to see better football.

People **** on Martinelli, Trossard, Madueke and Gyokeres - but simultaneously want to see attacking football. Make it make sense. Our attack is at it's best when Saka, Ødegaard, Havertz and Trossard are all firing at once - we have not seen that this season - hence the attacking football has been ****.

saka and ode are done and so is havertz. permacrocked after playing nonstop like a madman for a madman who didnt know how to manage players. trossard and eze keep getting frozen out as they are professionals and dont understand the whole "high intensity process".

also we played in 4 competition which is played twice a week or sometimes 3x in 2 weeks, so our key player get fatigue & exhausted

If we can recreate and maybe even improve 2023/2024, then we will contend so much. This season wins on where we ended up, penalties conceded and cards received. It's funny how a team can look more complete on paper but still not win. Here's to us getting it right in 2026/2027

i always maintained that you cannot be faulted for losing out to financially doped teams or to referee darlings manU, Lpool or barfelona.

i give Arteta greater credit for 3 2nd place finishes than to city for their umpteen titles..

PSG / City and earlier Chelsea used to pay agents, players and their family members so much inaccounted cash that you cant really compete with them..when they took Kvara, no else was able to challenge them for a player who on paper was going for the same amounts as a haverrz or cunha.

i hope arteta brings some flair play back, now that the PL trophy is done. With teams like psg and city around, trophies are very devalued and the spirit of sport has been lost
