The persistance with Trossard and Martinelli is just indefensible to some extent. WTF was the point of Sterling? Nelson could have taken those minutes and probably done more with them.
We got a lot better in the second half, but Inter was also very content in letting us attack and keep crossing the ball in.
Has a lot to do for Chelsea and it starts with him praying Ødegaard is fit enough to play for 55+ minutes.
Don't think it's fair to throw Ethan in now of all times, but Trossard also needsto be dropped.
He should have
How did martinelli finish 90 mins? It’s actually disrespectful what he’s doing to Sterling
From everything we know of him he does not have bad attitude. Looked poor in training is possible. But you signed him and your attacker is completely way off. Sterling looked threatening in his last game as well. I just don’t see how he watched martinelli 75 mins and thought sterling would be worse. There has to be something behind the scenes.Sterling could also be training badly and looking absolutely finished while doing so.
To which I ask, why sign him then?

Remember all the rope Arteta gave Willian? If Sterling was showing anything at all in training you would think he'd have gotten his shot by now, especially with Arteta name checking Martinelli missing chances in 2 post-match interviews in 3 weeks. Sterling must be stinking it up something fierce in training. I had to endure months of Nketiah because the guy was apparently a training all-star. The fact that Arteta's guy from City is not getting the Willian rope tells me he must look horrible in training. What I've seen on the pitch bar the Carabao Cup has been poor.
He pissed me off when he should have laid it off to White, thats Saka btw.Martinelli did well tonight. He isn't the problem, Arteta is. Sorry.
Saka was horrible tonight btw.
I honestly think it’s because he’s not our player. Why build him up and not invest in your player to find form. Sterling even the Bournemouth game looked better than trossard, but was subbed after the red. He’s not gonna be here next summer so no point in investing in himRemember all the rope Arteta gave Willian? Trossard is older and so hardly the future. Nobody will care if we win using a Chelsea reject. It smacks of something else.I honestly think it’s because he’s not our player. I just think it’s unfair he was not given a fair crack and they got him just as cover. But this Martinelli situation can’t continue all season. We have to buy in January
