Mikel Arteta: Working Jovertime

Should Arteta’s position as manager be under threat if we don’t win the PL or CL?

I honestly think it’s because he’s not our player. Why build him up and not invest in your player to find form. Sterling even the Bournemouth game looked better than trossard, but was subbed after the red. He’s not gonna be here next summer so no point in investing in him

I just think it’s unfair he was not given a fair crack and they got him just as cover. But this Martinelli situation can’t continue all season. We have to buy in January
Has nothing to do with that. We played Ødegaard and Ceballos heavily here while they were on loan. He just must look like sh*t. We know how Arteta plays favorites which is the only reason it was Sterling who was brought in.

Stop.using.trossard.as.attacking midfield

When you gonna stop being stubborn I know the guy is 17 years old you have him on bench but can't be worse than Trossard it's just like we playing with 10 men . Or if you don't want just freaking use Havertz as 10 the guy played this role before

The guy can't dribble can't pass can't cross just stop Mikel

Why did the club make a stupid video when he was unveiled trying to make out that he will play a fair amount of games then.

Again, it’s all because of poor planning, poor execution. Its Groundhog Day with this football club every single ****ing year

They tried to put on a positive spin. But something happened this window behind the scenes and our football director is gone.

The persistance with Trossard and Martinelli is just indefensible to some extent. WTF was the point of Sterling? Nelson could have taken those minutes and probably done more with them.
We cashed in on Nelson, which was what everyone wanted and the right decision.

Sterling was a gamble worth taking and which might still prove worthy of taking. I think it’s his lack of defensive work more than anything that keeps him out right now.

You might be right about the defensive work but having watched him, I think he just doesn't have the legs for it. A bit like Partey tracking back recently. It's not a lack of application, discipline or willingness.

I actually think it is application. That’s not to say his leg hasn’t gone, but you can see how he just doesn’t do it even early in games. Compare him to any other attacking player we have.

I think he just feels it’s beneath him in a way.

I'd be surprised after his stint under Pep and despite the media hate, he's apparently not wired that way. He's probably dusted.

So who the hell did Jesus come on for? (Yes, I know, rhetorical question, because I do actually know, and if I didn't, Google would tell me quite quickly). But I came inside a couple of minutes late after the halftime stress cigarette, and saw Jesus. And my first thought was great, Trossard is off. But then I saw him. It's ok, then, maybe it's Martinelli, still good. No, Martinelli is still there (though it took five minutes to notice).

I might be one of the least #ArtetaOut people on here. But even the fat bloke at the pub knows that Jesus, Trossard, and Martinelli at the same time is a road to nowhere, and shouldn't be done unless it's the last ten minutes of an elimination cup tie and you're recklessly playing a 1-1-8 trying to find that goal.

The goals dried up after that international break, very frustrating right now.

1) Speed of our attacks is so slow, it reminds me of last season when we also started slow but this time we are having real bad form with it.

2) No creative players on the pitch aside from Saka. A squad of system players and very little flair. Nwaneri should've been starting so many of these games, poor management from Arteta.

This is becoming a dangerous moment for him that could turn into a real landslide if he isn't careful. He's lucky that Ødegaard is back.

The mere fact that Inzaghi rested his players and showed up with his B team shows how he looks down on Arteta, does not rate him and sees him not at his level.

Inter players were laughing at Arteta and his band of bottlers at fulltime. We are a joke in Europe under this Old and Stale of a Manager.

Half a decade of process and nearly a billion spent for a Mourinho with a sprinkle of Pulis way of playing football.

I’m not taking anything from this game. Almost double their xG and inter were not in control in that second half, there were multiple frantic moments in their penalty area.

Our next 3-4 PL games will shape our season, need to get back to winning games with our squad getting back to full strength + easier fixtures. I’m judging us in December.

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
