I suppose that's the good thing about his profile. He's an experienced 28 year old midfielder, and in a year or 2 he can help take over that senior role from the likes of Jorginho & Partey, while allowing MLS & Nwaneri to develop into first team regulars that hopefully go on to take his place.
Some might even say that could be seen as good squad planning!

One thing I notice here is that there's a bias against tall non-defenders who play with an upright posture no matter what they do. Rice, Havertz, and Merino all receive the same treatment in that regard.

Was one of the better players out there imo, though that doesn't say much. Was one of the few who actually had some line breaking passes.
