• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

I disagree. Go back and watch our games against Forest and Olympiacos; he contributed a lot in the build-up and helped us play through the centre.

Obviously, Merino isn't a or dominant midfielder; but can contribute to the interplay in midfield. He’s not just effective in the final third.
if we put merino at midfield replace Ødegaard then we will so struggle against opponent who play with mid block or high press (bilbao play high press against us and merino did nothing at midfield we are so struggle made free flowing footblall)

you did not said that but you disagree about my previous comment when i said "dont put merino at midfield"

and again the point from whole my comment is "dont put merino at midfield just like when merino replace Ødegaard at midfield when Ødegaard got injured"

My point is play Merino in midfield because our passing fluency and central build up massively improves with him in

Merino - Zubimendi - Ødegaard/Eze very similar to Spain's midfield 3

How was his overall game?

I only saw the first goal. Nice finish Vs some woeful defending.

I can't really work him out, but I definitely appreciate his clutch moments.

Arsenal Quotes

It is well known the referees are protected very well like the lions in the zoo so we have to live with their decisions
