Like I said, there is no point in signing Isak and Barcola if there is no one to give them the ball. There is too much onus on Ødegaard to create in central positions. He is our only senior attacking midfielder in a squad of 25. Creative midfield is just as important as LW and CF.

Am I humble enough to praise Merino for this performance? Absolutely not. Instead, let me shine the light on Kai Crapvertz.

If Merino can grab two easy goals like this, it just shows you how overrated Kai is. You need to be a willing runner and some height to be a striker in Arteta's system.

Both goals were very good taken. Especially the first one, not many strikers would have scored in that position. He positioned himself really well.

If that happens then the club should sell Havertz in the summer. Merino isn't very good, but if he can offer a similar output for less wages, it is a no-brainer.
