Mikel Starteta Wars - Phase I: The Empire's Firing Blanks

Should Arteta’s position as manager be under threat if we don’t win the PL or CL?

Arsenal problem is mikel arteta ego.

His ego doesn't allow him to accept wrong decisions. Sterling and neto wer a bad loan, instead of ending their loans this January and sign players like rashford muani who were available on loans he didn't want because this would mean he made a mistake signing Sterling and neto. It is the same with havertz signing
Imagine you send 2 loan players mid way through the loan. And how on earth will we convince another player in future if we need them as loans?

Oh sure. Salah had a hamstring injury in January '24 where he missed 8 games in total for both Egypt and Liverpool and another muscular injury in March because they brought him back too soon from that hamstring injury. He missed another 4 games.

He returned as a substitute vs. Man City on the 10th of March playing 29 minutes, and after that there were 10 league matches left where he played 717 minutes. Every single game he was played again. He also featured in the FA Cup QF (77 minutes). This year, he's started in 25 games, they've played 25. If you include EFL Cup and C he's played 3.040 minutes so far.

Why does this narrative of overplaying players only count for Arteta?
I'm not suggesting it's just an Arteta problem, but in this instance it is a Saka problem as he was rushed back too quickly. The second injury should have been a warning to give him more rest, but a lack of rotation caused him to eventually tear his hamstring. You could argue we have nobody to replace Saka, but why is that?

We need to start giving players a break. Expecting them to play 60 games a season without leading to big injuries is silly, whether it is Arteta or Slot. Heck, even Guardiola had no replacement for Rodri (the ****) when he finally broke.

It's been reported that both of those signings were made by Edu and were not what Arteta wanted so where does that leave this silly statement of yours?

He left us with a thin squad in attack thicko.

What? He had 6 players in attack "thicko" you think two per position isn't enough? You're gonna be throwing up when you see us go into next season with 6 attackers.

We lack the quality because the board failed to acquire his attacking targets.

I'm certain that there's absolutely nothing going on up there.

am I doing it right?
No. You're a Poundland Paperino. We had a DoF who was supposed to be managing the incoming and outgoing as well as being able to identify talents for the manager to help with his job. He fired our entire scouting staff for AI crap and he was more focused on his churrasco than our squad.

Arteta was saying we had a thin squad last season. Keep up.

I hope Mikel watched what happens when you give talented players freedom to express themselves. Real ripped City to shreds. Defensively they knew their roles but offensively they had freedom to interchange, double or triple up. That's how you get Saka and Nwaneri and whoever else is needed in the team.

Salah is an extreme outlier in terms of fitness, there are maybe a handful of attackers with his level of availability.
