He's not very good. Our lack of quality and depth in midfield has lost us more points this season than any probability theory or Arteta luck.

At the right price I have no issues with extending his contract. Think he has some qualities and like you said he knows his role and works within that.

This forum sucks him off and wonders why we’re 12th when all these **** footballers are getting new deals. He’ll be the 15th or 16th player signed or extended by Arteta.

No excuses going into next season with him also going to the African Nations mid next season with Partey, Pepe, Auba etc.

Other than him being a terrible footballer who can’t pass? Squad spaces are too valuable to be giving away to such trash players, especially at CM.

You would think this forum and Arsenal fans wouldn’t need such stuff spelt out to them after a season where we’ve had to rely solely on Xhaka and an injured Partey.

Him and Xhaka need to be sold we need to seriously rebuild the midfield because apart from Partey our midfield is not even top 10 in PL.

We not 12th. We 9th. Crystal Palace is 12th. Another London club, maybe that’s where your confusion comes from

Contract extension has to be agent talk alone surely. We can't be calling this a rebuild and then extend players like Elneny. That's how you end up stuck with players you can't shift in a couple of years again.

Yes it's sound impossible to improve it all one summer we need like 3 midfielders at least. But giving extending Elneny won't help

You keep Xhaka, our best midfielder this season, and dump bums like Dani and the sand carrier.

It’s not difficult. Think it’s absolutely shocking many on here actually want to extend El Neny. That would mean out of a 22/23 man squad, most would have been signed or extended by Arteta, nearly all actually if you consider the remaining will mainly be young players.
