We’ve already got Ødegaard (who’s an automatic starter), Havertz, ESR, Vieira and maybe even Trossard who are going to be going for them LCM/RCM positions. Don’t really think we can throw another name into the mix there, is of Kudus does come I reckon he’d primarily been seen as a wide player.

Given Saka plays most games as well it’s hard to see where he’d get a game.
While I haven't written Vieira and ESR off, one hasn't proven himself yet, and the other is injury prone. Ødegaard will need to be rotated from time to time as well. Havertz and Trossard will be our backup false nines, so that opens up minutes if Jesus is resting. I doubt Trossard ever gets played as a CM if we sign Kudus, anyway.

We can't keep going the way we did last season with Saka. We have CL now, he won't be able to rest like he did in the EL. We have to utilise rotations and subs more effectively this season.

I think that's the issue with having "versatile" players. technically you have options but i fell we lack a specialist out wide somebody with real raw pace.

Fabio has to be sent out. Fabio needs a loan preferably to a physical league where he can just eat some carbs and train. Kudus is ideal for Arteta he has so much tactical variation to him can cover Saka left side midfield. Play other positions as well. in my opinion - nice profile player .

Fulham could be an ideal loan move for him next season.

Jheeeeze after watching Marquinhos and Vieira at RW this might be a go, Ode will get our RW in so many good isolated situations, we need a confident dribbler there when Saka is out.

Marquinhos took zero people on. I kept screaming at the tv “keep going!” nope… he barely dribbled and passed backwards. Bro, if you afraid to take on MLS… that’s no bueno in EPL.

But he got the assist though... (#end product)

Even if we dont get him. It confirms my suspicion Arteta has no interest in buying a 'front man' or classic centre forward. We will not target Toney or anyone like that. Arteta prefers 'attackers' who can play on the flanks as well as down the middle. Trossard, Jesus, Martinelli all fit this profile. Your numbers as a goal scorer are not as important as your passing, dribbling/ball carrying, holding the ball in tight spaces, and your overall technique.

We will not be buying a 'classic striker' and im all for it

 Total football.... People forget Man City scored over 100 goals in a season (19/20) before Haaland's arrival..

Would prefer an dedicated winger with Trossard and ESR aswell mostly playing as interiors. We got only 3 options out wide Saka/Martinelli/Nelson.
Diaby is an option but not sure in our system. Williams can also be an option who is probably in the last year of his contact.

Sorry for the bump, but want to comment on this player.

He didn't tick all the boxes Havertz did, but if Arsenal wants a RW rotation, this is a great player for it after Havertz.

He is fast and good in 1vs1 situations, which is required from the wings. And being Saka rotation, the player needs to be able to rotate other positions too.

Diaby for example isn't that guy, plus I still wonder how hood he is against busses.

Lavia and Kudus in, and it's a 10/10 window. It's a great window already.

Well, this is disappointing, we should be in for him. He's the best backup option for Saka and good insurance if/when the to Havertz at left 8 test flops. Get it done, Edu!!!

If we went in for him now our squad would be too big with Balogun’s future unresolved.
