Why do we always get embroiled in these ridiculous draw out transfers ? Its painful

We hardly ever get deals done efficiently. We just drag them out.

Supporting this club is hard sometimes 😒
Yeah it’s tough supporting Arsenal whilst being top of the league and offering Brighton 15x what they paid for a player who has made 26 PL appearances. Go figure.

This is pretty much how I see it. It's going to take £80m-£90m. I hope they are working on something else.

i think edu been told by Caicedo agents to put bids in so maybe Brighton will accept i didn't see one report brighton asking for how much they want to sell him. it always he not for sale unlike Mudryk we knew Shakhtar wanted 100M. i think we just wasting time here Caicedo need to issue apology and get back to pitch what he did was ill advised from agents. even the trossard transfer the reports already came out about they want 25M and day later everything was done.

there no point of trying with team telling us the guy not for sale multi time even if manager seem give up losing him but the president not forced to sell him.
I remember there being rumours about White's price for a long time, which was 50 million pounds. And that happened.

In Caicedo's case, there has been rumours of 75-80 million price for a long time?

To me this looks like Arsenal's usual bidding pattern, similar to Mudryk. 60 million -> 70 million -> 80 million as the last offer. The last offer will be clearly both clubs' record fee, so it sends a certain message.

All that's missing from this thread is @Hunta reminding us how he cries himself to sleep at night thinking about the state of Arsenal

As much as i would love us to get him, especially knowing it would to piss off that Naylor prick, a record fee for Caicedo would be absolutely mad, 70m was already so insane that even Chelsea balked ffs. Walk away and find someone else. For that amount there is surely someone available who can more than cover the same role.

Edu definitely needs to go, I can't believe we've gone in to this season without a proper partey backup.

It's not just about signing a backup for Partey. It's also about signing a player that is capable of playing Xhaka's role as Rice is our main target for the summer and you don't want a ~50M player sitting on the bench as 3rd choice for Partey & Rice next season.
Really ok let’s break it down. Arsenal didn’t go into this window we absolutely have to sign a midfielder. They believed they had enough until El neny got injured. So they now HAVE TO SPEND 80 million because el neny got injured?

This is amateurish as hell and screams panic. You don’t make this type of bid last 3 days of the window if you truly believed this was a must signing. If el neny was fit we wouldn’t be in this position

There are plenty of midfielders who can do a job in Europe if you need to. But the whole caicedo or nothing is pathetic and once again shows how incompetent Edu is

Get over yourself. You cannot say we are excellent at how we conduct business in clutch situations. That's my point. You knew that but were just trying to be smart of course.

There's a minute on the clock left for Arenal. Brady for Arsenal.... right across, Sunderland... IT'S THERE! I do not believe it, I SWEAR I do not believe it!
