Can't see why so many are against this signing, Arteta and Edu have one of the best records of signing the right players, and more importantly the right mentality since they've been together, so the fact the are this insistent on paying £70m is huge

We don't have scary pace in our team, and it's so hard to come by someone with that pace who has an eye for goal and good close control, obviously the step up in defenders will be good, but defenders hate pace and will just retreat and free up space for others

My only concern is the fact he's not used to playing regularly against teams who sit deep and restrict space in the box, but he certainly has great close control and will hopefully win a few free kicks and penalties in games which are tight, I'd have love to have seen him come on against Newcastle, as we got too predictable

In Edu and Arteta we have to trust, just get it done for Sp**s a nice little cameo in the last 20 minutes on Sunday would be epic

Not sure if you are being serious but if you're that is a mad opinion.
Nelson was more talented than Saka in the academy, in my opinion.

Sadly his development stalled a lot due to his injuries. He had so much confidence in his style of play before all these.

Of course it is very theoretical, but I dont think we would looking for a new LW if he wouldnt have all these injuries.

While Mudryk just had one good season in a poor League or on counters in the CL with much more spare ahead of him.

Nelson didn't make the transition from academy football to pro football. It happens with countless amounts of talented academy players all over the world.

This kid probably is great he has Robben speed but we just don’t need a winger as bad as we need a CM. Who is a better back up ESR or Mo?
I think Arteta has one of the CM back up slots alloted to Patino next season.

And Danilo seems to be the guy to be back up to partey.

Where we really need an upgrade is the LCM slot. Xhaka has been great, but I feel this could be a slot of ESR if he can overcome his fitness issues.

It hasn't been just injuries with Nelson. It has been also a mental issue, not performing at top level. Looks like his pal Sancho is now having something similar.

That's a really valid point. However there are always going to moments in the game to exploit. Such as counters at corners, he will be important in those situations.

Also arteta's approach of football has similarities to the old Wenger teams. Pace, power score early, which means teams have to open up.
