Reminds me of Rephinha, those long quick drumstick legs and savage attitude

Would be happy if we get Mudryk tbf, think he can offer us something different out wide to.
Can you imagine having Mudryk Martinelli Saka as wingers? big nightmare.

Do you understand the level of collapse that's required to not make CL from this point onward?

Dont insult Eddie with such posts, please.
11 points advantage and 72 points left to play for. Not huge collapse at all. To think anything is decided after 14 games is beyond silly. Just end of last season we lost to Palace, Brighton and Southampton 3 matches in row in April. 9 points dropped in 3 games

@SA Gunner made some wild claims last year too regarding top 4. Seems to think he knows more than everyone else regarding the probability and what is required for x y and z.

Lose 2 or 3 games on the trot and we are most definitely in a top 4 battle. Hence why we need to sign a striker in January. Eddie isn't enough.

Your line of reasoning shows why I refuse to take you seriously.

The ground has shifted so much since last season, but you insist on bringing up lottery like odds to make your arguments. Because of your insecurities regarding the team.

Im sorry dude, I just cant engage on childlike nonsense logic like this, and I wont.

You replied to my comment and engaged yesterday and went back into your cave when my response showed you did exactly what you were saying I did.

You had no answer. The odds of top 4 are in our favour. But it isn't a given. So don't talk down to people who think there's still twists and turns. If I had said what you said back in March/April about top 4 I'd never mention it again.

Yeah not a very big collapse needed. All it was going to take was an injury to one of few guys and it would be difficult to maintain current form. 11 points isn’t much at all.

Yep few fans have gotten too carried away on a great start. It’s basically 4 games. As shown last season we lost to bottom 10 3 games in row in April when chasing CL football

I know what you mean and have those doubts too tbh. Maybe it's the ghost of past **** ups. But this team feels different. Think they've grown and learned a lot from last season.

I know people say it's only 4 losses but as far as I am concerned top 4 is pretty much secured.

We have 37 points so only need 33 more to get to 70. That would require a PPG of 1.38 which would equate to a 52 point season, even in 2019-2020, our worst season in decades we got 56 points.

We may well have a bad run and be overtaken by a couple of teams but I just can't see us being that bad and enough of our rivals being that good that 4 teams overtake us.

It’s not “just” about the points for me. Reason I’m confident in top4 is because of “how” we’ve accumulated those points. There’s foundations in place that will not suddenly crumble like we’ve seen in the past.

This is how I feel.

I understand how pundits or people who aren't fans can imagine we 'crumble' and even fall out of the Top 4. Good for them and I won't argue with that. I don't know the ins and outs of Leeds so outside of their results, I don't know if they're playing well or poorly - only that they've won, lost or drawn.

But as Arsenal fans who watch the majority if not all of our games - what have people seen that makes them think out current points tally and results are based simply on 'form' that might change?

Outside of maybe 2, maximum 3 league games, we've literally been better than every team we played. Even the game we lost (United) we were better.

We're actually just good now. And have been, essentially, since January 2022.

We're not winning because we're on a hot streak and everyone else we're playing is on a poor streak.

We're not playing well. We play well.

We'll draw some games. We might even lose a handful. But it's going to take a fundamental shift in how we play for us to suddenly not be as good as we have been so far.

No doubt we have played well and our team seems different. But all it takes is a couple injuries and then are we able to play the same way?

Well - what I’m hoping is that Arteta has really managed to focus on the fringe players over the WC and hammered our patterns of play and automations into them the way we saw our first team transform over the summer. Looking for big improvements in link up play especially with Nketiah and Vieira for example.

As long as our replacements can work within the system we’re better placed to deal with injuries than rivals who rely on individual brilliance.

Should say there are caveats of course - TP5 to Elneny will work against all but the top teams where we’ll need Partey’s more progressive abilities. Jesus is obv a big big miss but again I’m really hopeful we’ll see a new and improved Nketiah that will let us scrape by. The biggest worry is Saliba. Without him our high line could get massacred.

Arsenal Quotes

My first ever football memory was Charlie George's double winning goal in 71. After that game; I just became an Arsenal fan.
