Michael Owen Level Analysis

Just don't get this. We're obviously willing to spend big money this window. Throw it at someone like Felix who's actually shown he can be the real deal or Leao. Make a statement.

He's had about 3 good CL games and probably scored a cracker against FC Chernobyl. I'm not buying the hype at all. Youtube highlight reel merchant for me.

Am I the only one not excited by this at all?
I come back after four and a half years, Arsenal are top of the league with the youngest team in the division, a squad full of exciting players with an incredible team spirit, an exciting, driven, talented, ambitious young manager. the best home stadium atmosphere since the Invincibles, possibly the best away atmosphere ever and more positivity around the Club than I can ever recall as a fan since 1971, only to find you’re still the negative, whining, attention-seeking, contrary knobhead you were back then?! What a tragic way to spend your precious life. Seriously. If you can’t enjoy this you really should consider another way to spend your spare time.

I’d agree to a certain extent. But his a hot prospect and has the potential to be world class. If you look at Arteta’s track record with his signings since being here they’ve been a success. He was about the one in the country who see something in Ramsdale a massively questionable transfer when it surfaced. Pretty much the same with Ben White too. I’m confident Arteta and the scouting team have analysed Mudryk very closely for a very long time

I trust the club if they think Mudryk is a perfect fit tbf.

Of recent when have they got any of our signings wrong? The talent ID of late has been class. Even Lisandro Martinez who they wanted in the summer looks like he’s a quality addition for Utd. As a club, I think we’ve past the stage of signings scrubs like Ceballos, Luiz, Willian etc so I’ll trust them on this one. Remember when many thought Bumsouma was the answer…

There was barely any evidence that Ramsdale was gonna be this good with his feet when he was playing for relegation sides before we bought him.

That move was ridiculed to no end and was seen as the example of how bad our business that summer was.

Trust the club have done a fair bit of scouting on this if they're willing to spend our biggest fee since Pepe on him.

Yep.

I reckon Mudryk is one of the surest thing to succeed and alot of people will be left with eggs on their faces when all is said and done

Just wondering who will be our 2nd signing after we done this deal

Apparently the bid was £40m + up to 25 extra in addons which seems pretty fair tbh.
It shows we are serious to get this done quickly.
They will probably hold out for an increased offer Might have to go up another 10-15m or so imho.
Reckon 55m +up to 20m in addons gets it done.

Haven't been this excited about a possible new signing for a long time. Maybe I am getting carried away but the potential of this kid is truly scary. I'm actually scared to even imagine how good he can become if everything works out.

This guy is a freakish talent the like of which we haven’t had in a few years. Some questionable posters aren’t excited but that’s okay, they will be when he’s tearing up the carpet.
Not saying I'm against this but if he's so freakish then why didn't we get him for cheap in the summer when no one had heard of him.

That’s abit extreme for me just not feeling Muddy. I’m enjoying us being top, having a young team which I always like, being liked to Felix, I don’t know what’s upset you buddy?

Why are we after another LW? We have a brilliant one in Martinelli whilst we have players such as Saka, ESR and Vieira that can all play there.

Surley it makes much sense to bring in a CM instead of a LW.

Even 2 CM's as Vieira does not seem to be fit to play Xhakas role. Plus a striker is even more important now with the injury of Jesus.

Squad depth, it's based on long term surely if/which we qualify for CL next season. You need top quality players challenging to push the competition of places up and rotating. I'm also sure we are working to get CM backup like Danilo

We are lacking options on the wings, if saka or martinelli aren’t available for a few matches we will struggle. We also have hardly any game changer’s coming on from the bench and can’t expect them to start in Europe and in the league every match. Smith rowe is also hardly ever fit and Vieira looks more like a Ødegaard backup than a saka

Seems to me that Arteta is going for like for like replacement options. Our bench options seem stylistic very similar to our starting options.
Jesus - nketiah
Martinelli - mudryk
Saka - marquinhos or cozier-duberry in the future?
Ødegaard- Vieira
White - Tomiyasu

The guys we've got in were great but we've had some close calls not long ago. Last winter we were stalking Vlahovic, last summer it was Tielemans, Lisandro wouldn't have looked as good for us probably, Raphinha and Isak probably bullets dodged, not pulling the trigger on Guimaraes etc.

That said Mudryk is definitely talented enough and the club's talent ID is definitely much better than most competitors in the league, the only issue of late has been prioritisation of what position to strengthen. Realistically the season is probably over for Jesus, relying just on Nketiah to start every remaining game seems reckless.

If we made an offer for a young, inexperienced, wide forward based on his high future potential, then we must have the CF solution decided as well. CF depth is our priority problem.

We are likely to miss on a CM this window as a consequence of Jesus injury.
