Top game, showed the kind of bravery needed to be a success. Demanded possession whever possible and picked his moments to play it forward. Some excellent passes BTL and well-timed dribbles - doing both for the opening goal. I still have some.......rankles, shall we say, about him basically having to do the Zinchenko role to get a shot but I'm very proud to see him making a go of it.

Solved the match, shame he got hooked later.
Coming back from injury recently, not surprised he came off. Think it was the safe decision.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Really impressive the 2nd half he started to get fatigued and Monaco increase the level right time to sub him off.

But the guy has future here for sure specially with Mikel he love players who direct and carry the ball

Really composed performance for a young guy.

Always demanding the ball and never hid.

Deceptively strong in the challenge too.

Think we'll see a lot more of him in the next couple of years.

Well done to him!

Brought our left side to life tonight. Has that ability to drag markers out and turn them like we see with Merino, really effective way to create that space to attack as the block is broken.

Looks an option for our left side cohesion, particular its ability to rotate naturally. Would love to see MLS more alongside Merino, Martinelli and Gabby XL.

Should keep his spot at the weekend. Injuries are a blessing when it comes to providing academy guys chances.

Starting life as an inverted FB is good lesson imo, and not all that different to Wenger putting CFs out wide initially.

Against Everton? Zero chance

I'm gonna say it now. If Teta keeps him at left back to accommodate Merino in midfield, he is racist. I said what I said. If you disagree with me you're racist too. If you're wondering if RunTheTrap would stoop low to use the race card to call Merino ****e, then wonder no more.

Myles played very well, lets see how his thread is going...

Arteta likes the him as a player. You can tell by the way he interacts with him. How he perked up in the pre-match press conference when talking about MLS.

That says a lot. Starts him in the CL.

Did grand.

Let him play at left back for now, anyway. Still young and given how we play he has license to drift into midfield. It's a good development opportunity for him and I like that he's taking it given our 25 1/2 left backs are all injured.

Eventually, though... that dribble, that pass... oof.

I know @MutableEarth mentioned he's more of a six, but if his pressing is good, he has to be move a bit forward and get chances at left 8.

He can come collect the ball if Rice needs help, Ødegaard also drops a bit into our own halfway line to help beat the press.

Either way, it looks like we've got a player.

Excellent to see him do so well today.
The ball to GJ was top.

I think it's good he is learning the role at FB, maybe in future he will move into midfield but this will help his education.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
