Our only positive player who started the game.
If Arteta was pro active we would have tried MLS at CM a few times this season with Rice to see if it’s a way we can be a bit more front footed in build up.
We’re not gonna see it now. At LB he has his moments defensively etc as we know this season, but it’s more about the missed opportunity of having him in the midfield. He offers something that none of our other CMs offer.
He has concrete interest from man united and we have to make sales in the summer. Even if he plays every game well he’s the first we will cash on. 100% profit is too good to turn downSaid on the match day thread, but the worst thing for him is to play well right now.
Means Arteta will not sell him or use him at cm. Doubly so if we bottle the title, as it will mean Mikel will quadruple down on the margin thing.
I'm sorry, fr bro I swear![]()
Possibly can play in the middle, but turns off in the middle of plays. He had the player who scored the first goal, but quit on the play.
I do not like him as a defender at all this season.
Other than that, he's not fast enough to recuperate and is often out of position. He needs to stop being dillusional... his best position for now is being a LB and that's what the team needs so he needs to work on that.
It sounds like his shortcomings is precisely why he is NOT a LB. Like why should someone who lacks pace and who can be a defensively liability be a left back over a center mid? Zubi made plenty of mistakes that led to goal this season, is he a left back too?
Because he never trusted him in midfield all season and chose to overplay Zubi and Rice, he feels now it’s too risky to use him in midfield with so much at stake. But the strange thing is he never trusted Nordgaard either. Sadly I see him taking Zubi and Rice even if they are 40% over the other 2 guys. And like, no is saying the guy is answer. But it's clear there is a premier league level player there.
That level looked to be top half of the table when he broke through. Specially since the overall level of the team was miles (pun intended) ahead of what MLS faced.
Would rather find where he falls while he's here, as it's a lot cheaper and has the added emotional benefit of him being an academy kid.
What happened to my boy?
