Rice is good for away games. Defensively he's a monster. But he compromises our forward play. He doesn't need to play every game, especially home games.

For fluid football he's out of the team. Also now having Bruno, we have a player who is defensively also very good.

Like I've mentioned, I'd actually like to see rice at CB or playing as a sweeper.

Based on last season, based on his ball playing stats, you just have to look them up, rice doesn't pass the eye test in terms of moving the ball up the pitch. He's very good at carrying the ball up the pitch with his power when given space. However with that again his decision making is usually poor when executing that final pass.

That's what makes Rodri so unique, he can do everything that rice does but also progress the ball.

If Rice had that in his locker he'd go down as one of the greatest English players in history. Unfortunately like so many English players he doesn't have that level of comfort on the ball.

He needs time in midfield, maybe only Bruno progresses the ball and delivers thrpugh balls like he does. And he is a teenager. If we need to sell midfielders Zubi or Merino before Mls. Both those guys are quality but we got a stacked midfield depth. Ode has been poor last couple seasons but his form was getting better by end of last season. Let’s see but Mls needs to get minutes and we need to give him minutes even if it means Rice rests a couple more matches

As someone who speaks most of one language, I'm impressed with everyone in Europe. Feel a bit subhuman tbh.

I can't see any scenario in which Arsenal would sell him. He's close to becoming a first choice starter, and I don't think we need the money from his sale to balance the books. Maybe if the Vinícius transfer had gone through, we would have needed the money to help finance it. Even if an Anderson type offer came in, we should still decline it. It would be very short sighted to take the money for short term gain. He has the potential to become the best player in the world, and you simply can't buy a player of the same quality for the money you'd receive from selling him.

If a club bids 150M for MLS then yeah he could be for sale. I would sell Rice for that amount too.

The club will need it if they want to sign a Vini or Alvarez in Jan. We can cry about inflated transfer fees but ultimately we have to start benefiting from the selling market or it's going to be harder and harder for us to sign players. You think 120M for Rogers and Anderson is disgusting now, just imagine how much worse things can get next summer.
