Biggest mistake was him giving away possession when they pressed us in the first half in the mid of the pitched which lead to a scary moment. Aside from that thought he was solid. Had one of his crazy runs as well. 6.5/10 from him today

I thought he was excellent today. Feel like people are being harsh. I can remember one mistake and even then I thought he was fouled. I was happy with everything he was doing.

Zubi was good when he came on but I thought the drop off in physicality was immediately noticeable.
It's because they want him to be dropped for guimaraes lol. Which he probably will eventually, but there is no shame in that as he is only 19. Amazing what he has done so far in his career, I don't think people understand how impressive it is. Reminds me of how underappreciated young Saka was. Only Fabregas, Anelka and Wilshere have looked more impressive than MLS as a teenager since I have been watching Arsenal. Especially the role he is currently playing which is one of the most demanding in Arteta's system.

he is progressing along nicely. he will only get better here competing with the likes of Bruno and Zubimendi for the same slot.

People really need to calm down about it. Rice and Zubi racked up almost 9000 minutes between them last year. We cannot do that again. Compare it to the minutes the PSG midfielders played last season and the difference is massive. Im pretty sure thats why we signed Bruno.

Ideally none of our midfielders this year should be starting 3 games within a week if we rotate properly. Bruno will start plenty of games as will MLS. I dont think Rice will start every match this season (which is a good thing). There is enough minutes to go around whilst not having a drop off regardless of whose on the pitch. Then at the end of the season, we wont be running on fumes like last year.

Exactly. People think rotation is about dropping someone and another person being a backup.

No.

The goal should be that most of our midfielders get 35-50 appearance in total, but that there are fewer full 90s by any of them.

It doesn’t really matter who starts against Napoli. Another 1 or 2 of them will definitely get on the pitch as subs. And of the 1 or 2 who get subbed on against Napoli, 1 of them probably starts against Ipswich to rest 1 who started against Napoli.

Rotation.

He overcame the arteta academy player chopping block. What a player, don’t need to see bruno in the starting 11 for a while, he is so important for our mf balance. I really hope arteta doesn’t do his bench a well performing player for his new toy gimmick unless it’s warranted

The fact he's keeping Zubimendi on the bench shows you his class.

In time it'll be between him & Bruno witg Zubimendi a complete afterthought.

Whoever thought it was wise to offer him around is permanently on fraud watch. I even saw some in our fanbase trying to pin this on his camp lol

He’s literally any of us living the dream.

The only cope is that it was only considered to part fund the Vini purchase.

Pretty sure all the noise happened like a week after Vini signed a new deal? Still it could have been in their thinking, would have been a huge mistake.

Surely there are others we could have binned before Skelly especially to Utd/Chelsea of all place. He’s the now/future of the club imo.

Almost like a second syndrome for young players is a real thing.

Some reactions are OTT on here. No he is not done. We dont have to sell him. Lets finish the season strongly, there is a big talent there in this player.

@A_G Look at me trying to put out the fire from the previous 10-15 pages. Please read the pages and comments and tell me again if I have anti Hale End bias?

Arsenal Quotes

My first ever football memory was Charlie George's double winning goal in 71. After that game; I just became an Arsenal fan.
