He lack quickness in his mind. He has close calls every game where he just about to either escape or get fouled cause he takes too long on the ball. Sadly unless big improvements I don’t see long term Arsenal career

He reminds me so much of United's Anderson in the sense that he can beat a press and carry the ball with pace that would cause a lot of havoc. Unfortunately tets don't like that.

He’s a 19 year old world class talent in his second full season and he’s in poor form and lacking confidence at the moment. We saw his quality last season no reason to believe that we wouldn’t be seeing it again. He needs time and space to develop and get back into form. This is normal with young players surely we need a bit of patience here. Criticism is fine he did play poorly but there is no way he doesn’t make it here.
Agreed. Lots of impatient knee jerk comments.

At some point we need to trust this guy in midfield. It would give us an extra option besides playing Rice and Zubimendi all the time. The way he glides past players reminds me of Wilshere, he's such a beast in beating the press.

Also, he's just not good enough defensively to play as a LB and I think he will never be. It's sad that we have no fit defenders for our Carabao Cup clash vs. Palace, otherwise I'd stick him in midfield for 90 minutes.

Yes i think we need to switch him from LB sometimes into midfield he is more then capable of playing there and will also cover an extra body in midfield.

The composure he has for his age is absolutely brilliant.

Not a highlight game by any means, but his ability to alleviate pressure and shield the ball is top-class. I noticed Saka has shades of it too when he's defending. Maybe it's a Hale End thing.

He's very young, but every game he decides to complicate his life needlesly with weird body feints in his own half when he's not even facing their goal and clearly has nowhere to go (typically loses it by the byline). Its very bizarre and its clear his risk reward ratio needs tweaking. Aside from that, solid game, especially the first half when he looked like one of our better players.

It's fun when it works but over dribbling in your own end too often leads to giving up big chances.
True its unnecessary specially when he LB gonna leave your area exposed. But I like he develops this skill but need to choose the right moment to do it

Played really well against palace. Arteta knows how to suck th confidence out of a player.

I don't know if any of you have played competitive football even Sunday or Saturday league. But if you're lacking a bit of confidence everything that you would normally do intuitively you are thinking about and that split second can be the difference in having a good or a bad game.

We've seen his quality. We need to see him on the pitch whether in midfield or LB.

Hmm. Not a great appearance against Villa. Watching him closely, he struggled with decision making and in the end got caught flat footed for the goal.

Though Saliba and Raya were equally at fault for the goal, MLS didn’t cover the man that scored. He left Watkins wide open though Watkins was the only threat near the goal line.

Arteta won’t be happy if he reviews the last 10 minutes of the match.

Turned into Myles Lewis-Zinchenko this season and I mean Zinchenko just before we completely froze him out of the team, not Zinchenko early on.

Shouldn't give him minutes at LB anymore unless absolutely necessary. Either midfield or nothing.

This guy can't play another game this season. Worst player on the pitch everytime he plays.

Arsenal Quotes

When you look at people who are successful, you will find that they aren’t the people who are motivated, but have consistency in their motivation.
