That's not really accurate though, the reports in Germany said Chelsea did a medical for Nkunku in Frankfurt weeks ago but said explicitly it's unclear whether there's a deal on the table for next summer or not. Since the medical Tuchel was sacked too so even less clear he's moving there.

What is actually Bohley doing? Nkunku doesn't make much sense no matter how good he is. If he trying spend money go upgrade Jorginho and Kante.

If it's his dream club or something, then fair enough, but don't know why he would agree to join Chelsea a year from now considering the uncertainty around their prospects post Roman, not to mention CL is far from guaranteed for them this season.

He's one of the highest rated forwards around not yet at a "big club", and you'd reckon he'd have a good host of clubs vying for his signature if he continues to perform as he has done, especially if the reported release clause is accurate.

He won’t have host of clubs vying for him. How many clubs would spend 70-80 million on Nkunku? It would be stupid not to take a great deal when it comes

He has a reported release clause of €60m valid next summer, is a France international who can play multiple positions in attack, registered 20g + 13a in the league last season (35 goals in all comps), and is about to enter his prime. I'd be surprised if other big clubs weren't interested.

They bought Kiesse have de Jong who renewing and tow elite talents Pedri and Gavi how many midfielders they need? Still Neves would be cheap next summer so can't rule it out

It is a bit strange but actual interest in him does seem kind of low right now considering the numbers he put up last season.

I wonder if 'big' clubs are put off by the Bundesliga, so many players put up big numbers one or two years then move and flop or just fall off.

€60mil is still a lot in the market if its a waste like Werner.

Perhaps, but he also showed up in European competition as well. 7 goals in 6 in the CL (in a group with City and PSG) and 4 goals in 6 in the EL KO's last season.

It does seem like most of the forward lines are set at the big clubs, though. The likes of Barca, City, Bayern, and PSG don't have openings atm, although PSG may want more depth, especially with uncertainty over Messi's future.

€60m is not inexpensive, for sure, but not an insane amount either. If he's able to replicate last season's production, you'd reckon he'd generate solid interest. 6 goals in 8 in the league so far, so he's off to a decent start.
