How predictable was this? Think it may be a blessing in disguise for Liverpool though, they need more of a revamp than just signing one player.

City is the best club for Bellingham imo, that Gundogan role is ideal for him. He isn’t a Real Madrid style midfield imo.

It’s not really a blessing in disguise though is it, having Bellingham would be great for any club. Frankly it’s pretty depressing that only Madrid or a financial cheat like City can afford to buy someone like Bellingham.

The game overall would be much better if a talent like Bellingham played for Liverpool than playing for the Man City globetrotters. What’s even the point in most clubs entering competitions if one club has that amount of talent?

I’m not sure to be honest, there’s a huge amount of hype surrounding him but it’s a massive ask for him to go into a club like Liverpool and carry them on his back. Against PL opposition in Chelsea he struggled massively.

I mean yeah, for the game it may be better but for his personal development I think City would be best for him. He goes into a more settled environment, and I think he’d become a better player under Pep than Klopp.

Yep, everyone knows the way FSG works, if they sign JB you can bet anything that no one else is coming in.
You can also blame klopp for keeping faith on injury prone footballers like Kieta and Thiago or finished footballers like Milner and Henderson. FSG do support the manager financially its not his fault all klopp signings are forwards.

Yep, agreed. Quite interesting how they were seen as the best around recruitment wise, but the last few years have been quite poor. That Edwards guy leaving must have been a big loss for them.

I wouldn't be shocked if Man City go absolutely mad this summer.

They're going to replace some of their ageing and generally disinterested squad (Bernardo, Gundogan, Walker etc.), and absolutely secure their team's next few years with this window in anticipation of possible charges or Transfer Bans, as well as looking at us and the age of our squad.

What's happening this year could happen again for another 3 years on the bounce, and Pep isn't gonna like that at all. Some coaches thrive on competition, but its clear by the way Pep talks when his team aren't firing on all cylinders that he isn't one of those. He doesn't like title races, he likes walks in the park filled with pretty football where he can tinker and experiment with no fear of being caught.

They'll end up with players like Jude and maybe 2-3 more truly World Class young talents, if not more.

Jude. Gvardiol. Musiala.

Not those names specifically, but that level of player.

If City have Haaland, Bellingham, Foden and Alvarez in their team then the Premier League will be no different to the Bayernsliga in Germany.

Seems like everyone already forgot about the financial charges brought onto City, they will just keep buying rotational players for 100 million until they are banned from football altogether lol
