He looks absolutely sh*t against every half decent player he encounters. Haaland and pensioner Messi both turned him inside out.
The guy is 21. He will be a monster in the future. Saliba showed some weakness against guys like Watkins and Toney.

I mean at this point, does it really matter? Does he actually improve them? What difference does it make?

He gives them more defensive ability, in addition to being able to create with the ball. This is the reason why they went on that top quality run from February to May. Pep is favouring a more even split between the defensive and attacking profiles in the team, a 5-5 split if you will. And on top of that defensive solidity, have them convert into attackers as well (Gvardiol being a creative passer from deep).

We are trying to do the same thing, with Rice, Caicedo and ball playing defenders at CB and RB.

Kane and levy should take the opportunity if real Madrid come and bid for kane. It'll be similar to Bale transfer

Ugarte, Caicedo, Enzo looks like an Atleti midfield.

Poch is building a bastard of a team sadly.

Exactly right.

A Dyche's Everton with better players really, and who commits more to the aggressive press. I expect Lukaku or one of their big forwards to be brought back to life again.
