Why Goretzka should downgrade from Bayern to United? 😭
i read few days ago Bayern struggling to give him new contract and he has 1 year left. could be smart signing for UTD if they interested.

Bayern kind of ****ed themselves with the new contracts for iirc Lewandowski, Müller and Neuer, giving them more than 20m. Arguably at that time these three were their most important players, but it was clear as day those next in the pecking order and in line for a contract extension would ask for similar wages. That's how they lost Alaba, that's why negotiations with Goretzka are stalling and apparently they also are in trouble in regards to Kimmich's next extension.

otherwise they would have lost players like Lewa already.
If they still want to compete with the biggest clubs, they have to pay contracts like this.

all three already are 30+ years, probably won't give them another contract or especially not in this regions. so their "new" top players like Goretzka and Kimmich will get a solid increase, but not on the level like Lewa. If these 30+ players drop out of the wage structures, there will be new room for Kimmich, Goretzka, Gnabry...

Compared to all big clubs, they have one of the healthiest wage structures. Think Alaba just doesn't wanted to be at Bayern for his whole career nearly.

Btw, was looking at the Brazilian Ronaldo stats, his numbers are crazy considering he played in an era where defending was better, he also played in Italy, and played when defenders would crash into attackers.

He would score 2 goals a game in the current era, no doubt.
this mith needs to stop. defending was not better, the game allowed more physical contact.
tactically, defending was never better than what it is now.

5 United signings in the top 10, yet City have ruined the Premier league with their spending according to most of their fans

It's hard to argue that dirty oligarch and Arab money is a good thing but without Chelsea and Man City's financial doping United would have won the league another 10 times and it would be as dead as Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.

On point. It's exactly why we're e.g. seeing Euros like this. Even "****e" teams are so fit and tactically adept in pressing and low blocking it makes it ****ing hard to score.

The game was more physical of course, but look at the defenders in the 1990s and 2000s...this current batch just can't compare.

Why we dont move for Matheus Pereira? 50m to WBA and he and Johnstone will be ours.

Probably more likely of us giving Yanited that 50 million for Jesse Lingard, tbh...not sure how I would feel about that signing, but at least he is young and with plenty of time to improve!

Looked a great player in a poor West Brom team. Surprised he's not moved already.

There was talk that he was off to the Saudi league with Al Hilal.
