That only works when the one you currently have (Dowman) is under contract.

Because of his age, he is currently in that stage where every top club in Europe is in his ear. And we'll be well aware of it.

The first thing they'd say to him, if we signed Nypan, is "why sign a contract with Arsenal when they're buying players around your age in your position?"

It would have been like buying someone like Nypan in the summer where Nwaneri was choosing between staying with us and possibly going to City.

Nwaneri was probably the reason why we weren't in for Doue. People want us to give young talented players opportunities, but then also want us to sign every talented player in sight. Then if we do sign someone and the youngsters doesn't get enough opportunities and leave, criticise the club for not giving the player changes. It's a vicious cycle of complaints.

Nwaneri is a left footed winger / cam, and Doue is right footed attacker. They can easily be accommodated in the same team, I don’t think this is right.

The reason we weren’t in for Doue is because we either didn’t fancy him or because we didn’t see the point in trying to go up against PSG.

Dowman being a reason for not pursuing Nypaan though is something I’m fully behind.

For what its worth, I've seen reported that we made enquiries re Doue, but his agent was clear he wanted PSG

I've never been a goalscorer. I've only owned goals. Good own goals.
