at least he is a footballer, who can run full speed, kick the ball hard into the goal, and dribble by a player. thats pretty rare at arsenal these days.

Think a lot of people are pissed because they wanted this money spent on a LW.

Not sure 50m gets you anyone much better than Trossinelli tbh. We’d probably have to have signed 2 attacking players instead of 3 (suppose we’ll know at the end of the season if this was worth it).

I’m a bit surprised there’s so much negativity around this signing tbh. He’s doing exactly what we signed him to do.

50m is on the high end but let’s not pretend it’s a monster fee in this day and age.

Think Ethan could have hit those numbers had he been willing to deputize on the RW + AM minutes. The money could have been used to sign a proper LW.

Noni been fine and done his job.

I’m not sure tbh. Noni is a much better RW than Ethan at this point. I don’t think the club wanted to take any risks when it came down to back up players.

Agreed. Newcastle spent 55M on Elanga, Utd 60 on Mbuemo, Chelsea 50 on Gittens, Sp**s 120 combined on Kudos and Simons, Fulham 40 on Kevin and Everton 40M on Dibling. Madueke is said to be relatively low wages too. Hasn`t set the world alight but think he has done alright.

I think for the profile they were looking for (back up to Saka that can actually contribute and fit the teams style) he’s been a success. If you’re judging him at a standard higher than this you’ll obviously be disappointed.

I think the main argument isn’t to use 50M on a LW. It was to use that 50M to fund a new starting LW.

I agree with both sides. We should have brought a solution to our LW rather than sign Madueke. We should have put money down for Semenyo or waited until Jan even for his release clause.

However, I have been a bit surprised at how bad people say he is sometimes when he actually gives positive performances for the team somewhat regularly. We know he doesn’t have a crazy IQ, but considering how stale things are he at least gives something different.

Tldr; shouldn’t have signed him but he’s been a good tactical weapon and depth.

Semenyo has almost singlehandedly dragged City back into the title race. So ****ing annoying. Without him, title would be over imo.

Remember when briefed Ornstein and co that Noni would get games on the LW regularly? That was great cope.
Ah yes that makes it worse. We actually were trying to address LW with the signing.

Very idiotic and also very cheap in a position we’ve learned you can’t cheap out in. He’s at least recognised the need to spend big on a specialist LW.

Who do you want? Or what type of player would you like there?

Arsenal Quotes

There is no chance of Sol ever leaving for Arsenal. He is a Spurs fan and there is not a hope in hell of him playing in an Arsenal shirt.
