Noni shouldn't play at all unless he is starting. He sucks off the bench. Dowman needs to be thr first player off thr bench when Saka comes off. Noni can start in place of Saka if he is injured.

Madueke actually surprised me today, seemed to take his time more, was more patient and tried to link up play too. With some very nice touches and a couple 1-2s.

It was positive signs from him.

That's exactly what I observed and he actually linked up with hus team mates. The horrendous finish was one of many and that's my only criticism of him. Imagine if his brain can work as fast as his legs. Ooof.

What he did wrong was posting that “Ben Simmons can shoot 3s” offseason tape on X. He gave us false hope that his finishing had improved and that we actually had something to look forward to this season. He had to bury that ball in that 1-on-1 situation, no excuses. That’s at least what we can expect from an impactful bench player.

I expect a superstar like Saka to play like a superstar. He doesn’t, He missed numerous easy shots. Completely off balance with poor form. Shouldn't everyone be in his thread and not the player barely getting minutes and not considered a superstar?

Yup. I remember same thing happend with Wilian too. League cup this Wednesday will be opportunity for both Noni and Dowman to prove who deserves minites as Saka backup.

Madueke is talented, but he does not have end product unfortunately. Good player, but not productive off thr bench. He did very good beginning of last season when Saka was out.

I dont think Arsenal system bring out best of his talents. He would actually look like a 50 million signing if he was playing for Nottingham Forest. He is better or same level as Elanga when he went to Newcastle.

It’s hard to convince/trick a player to join and play 2nd fiddle to Saka, or a Kane etc. Aka an academy talent that’s operating at the highest level that a club gets lucky with.

I think Madueke gets too much stick for somebody who keeps his head down and gets on with it.

However, the better the squad gets and the more jokers that get offloaded with surprise moves to Turkey, the more the scrutiny will intensify for the Madueke’s and Gyokeres’ types left in the squad.

Eze might fall into this bucket too actually the more he’s made to cover the left.
