These clips are interesting to me. Obviously he hits the corners because these are montages but I still think you can see clear developments in his technique.

In the first one, from two years ago, he’s extremely tight when he hits those curlers and the set up is very robotic and always the same. Makes me think of the way Martinelli would hit curlers.

In the second two, which are more recent, he is so, so, much freer. Leg is more extended, more variety in technique, set up etc. much harder to read.

Arteta will take a lot of credit if we see him improve, but it looks to me as if this lad is doing everything he can do be best player he can be already.

Turn out MLS is pretty close friend with Madueke also good to see most of our team happy we signed him.

As much as I had reservations about whether this was necessary considering some of the other options available on the market, SMDave does make a good point in the video he just dropped regarding Noni Madueke that he’s only played 7707 professional mins which is less than a few names like Jude/Saka even in their late teens, so there’s still a lot for them to work with.

He also mentioned about having a left footer on that flank being able to drill a first time cross across the box similar to what Xhaka did in 22/23 being able to unlock Ødegaard and assist Gyokeres + cause chaos.

I definitely agree on the part that Trossard and Martinelli usually take so many unnecessary touches which slow down our transitions and enable the oppositions defence to regroup.

I think there is a bigger chance of this happening than most people would admit. As long as we sign a Rodrygo/Eze type on the left I don’t really mind this transfer. Unlike Havertz he’s actually got the attributes necessary to make it.

Ironic that you mention Havertz because people talk sh!t about him even when he's playing well, hopefully the same doesn't happen with Madueke.

I think if he's gonna play LW more, that shot across the goalie could be cash money for him. Saw him do this a couple times for the England U21s when he was eligible. Could see more right footed shots too.

I am very intrigued to see how we use this guy.

The problem with madueke is not getting in good positions or his dribbling. His decision making is really bad, he doesn’t do first time passes really and his assist tally is 3 league assists per season in the last 4 seasons

More an experiment than anything. Will really show whether Arteta has it in him to develop a player with his attributes and if he does get him producing then he deserves credit tbf regardless of how much the club paid for him.

Madueke does have the raw attributes that he can work with and like SMDave said in the video, he was praised for his work with Raheem Sterling at City so it’s interesting whether it all does come to fruition as that was questioned when he came to us. Small snippet earlier in the season but I do like his directness and confidence to take a shot regardless of whether it’s a bit sketchy at times. Can’t stand players who always go for the safe option:

This is advanced coping. The guy is a proper joke that Chelsea really wanted to get rid off.

No surprise really when you've got big Nic Jackson knocking them into the Thames.
TBF, his underlying numbers also support the raw numbers - he doesn't really lay on a lot of quality chances quite that much according to his xA stats. You'd imagine Arteta backs himself to fix this, but the fact is Madueke's better instinct is to shoot. The underlying numbers show a lot of goalscoring potential, but the assists might need a lot more work.

Our summer signings have been very poor. Madueke is antithetical to the culture we're trying to build. He looks like a spoilt, lazy guy who'll never reach his potential.

You have seen this clown at Chelsea and you have seen Teta's football. We don't need this combination.
No need to call him a clown or joke, cheer up mate. He's an Arsenal player now, if you're rarely ever willing to give people a chance before insulting them I'm not sure what the point of being a fan of the club is. Honestly not sure why or how you're a fan to begin with given 99% of your posts are negative or angry, and it's unfortunate you end up directing it at other people on this platform too. I look forward to the day you come on here happy or excited about anything.

The Chelsea background and the fact we just keep giving them money is understandably pissing us all off but there is definitely something to work with Madueke. I'm not one to put a lot of emphasis on potential but if we manage to get him to connect all the small things his ceiling is quite high. Everyone was on about the upsides of Sesko but this guy for me has a lot more upsides than the shaved Ostrich.

That may be but he will be our main saka back up too if we get someone in who can play from the left. Hopefully these skills don’t go to waste
