Impermanence.

No team has a privileged right to continue playing at the top. Every team has to continually earn it each and every season. Nottingham Forest FC could not do it. Good luck to them in their efforts to rebuild.

Exactly. Dont see why people are having a cry.

How are they and Everton getting punished faster than Manchester City who clearly and obviously broke FFP 115 times?
Man City are contesting the charges in court, Everton and maybe Forest are not.

Got a bit of a soft spot for Nottingham Forest. They gave Arsenal a football strip, years and years ago?
Liked them in the 1990's, under Brian Clough. Had a good, young side, Stuart Pearce, Des Walker, Roy Keane.
They signed Stan Collymore from Southend United, who went onto form quite a good strike partnership with Bryan Roy, at Forest.
Forest of course signed the first £1,000,000 player in Trevor Francis. They have also won the European Cup.
Can remember Arsenal playing away at Nottingham Forest. Forest were in the relegation zone, and had just appointed Ron Atkinson as there new manager. Ron went to the dugout before the start of the match. He looked across the bench, and saw Dennis Bergkamp there. Ron thought, this is a strong bench, if we have Bergkamp as a sub. Realized, he was at the Away dugout.
Sorry, last thing. Below is a Story from ex Forest goalkeeper, Mark Crossley. Here he talks about Brian Clough, Marks manager at the time.

They will appeal and apparently the appeal decision date is after end of the season. That could create chaos with the relegation chances.
Its a crazy situation regarding relegation, I remember years ago WHU Tevez case they paid Sheff Utd huge compensation.

Mascherano also on loan at WHU at time only played 5 games, 3rd party ownership the issue.

PL now clamping down FFP. After the horse has bolted.

20 years ago did nothing about Chelsea RA early years, probably cost us at least one title and certainly a deeper run CL QF we lost.

Arsenal Quotes

Thierry Henry was very quick at analysing everything that was going on and how he needed to react. This intelligence, this capacity to evaluate, understand and question oneself, is also the mark of great players... For everyone, for the fans and for us, he symbolised the golden age of Arsenal.
