Yeah, not much we could do on that one. Kid was a Chelsea fan who was just biding his time to go back to Chelsea.

As someone who has Ipswich as his 2nd team and watched most of their games last year, genuinely shocked that they're getting 38m for him. Like, they only got 30m for Liam Delap who I would have thought would be worth double the fee at least.

Edit : Delap had a release clause so checks out on the low fee for him, at least.

If true, it's because of his comments about signings while having to wait to see what competition they would be in.
