Edu would never survive in a different club that's obvious. There's a reason why he survived the previous Brazilian club he was in, a.k.a. massive corruption.

He's getting carried by Josh and Arteta.

He took a cheap punt on a young player, it didn't work out, and he was still able to sell him on a profit and a sell-on clause.

It's a win no matter how you slice it. Nobody will write off the failures of the past because of this sale, but no need to pretend it's not a win.

Let’s not forget that Nuno had the opportunity to move permanently to Forest and he decided against it thinking he might get a better offer, which he didn’t.

Wrong. We actually making a small profit. We bought him for €8m, & selling for €9m.

Plus we received a €1m loan fee from Forest.

Do you not check facts before you make these statements?

That was 3 years ago, doesn’t take into consideration dynamic exchange rates that would effect our economic revenue EBITDA stream.

Nah, not correct.

Under Edu, we made profits on Jenkinson, Bielik, Mavro, Douzi, Trusty, Turner,

The profits were pretty small (apart from Bielik), but they were profits 😂

But yeah, overall our selling has been atrocious.

Could've made a great winger under a decent manager who doesn't need readymade products bought at a premium for him. Instead we're sending an African kid into a cauldron of fascists, thanks Arteta

Thoughts on this deal by Edu @grange
The deal is ok. Some are blowing this out of proportion because they’re not used to Edu showing up to work before the middle of July. The Arteta tanking player value agenda has turned upside down at least.

I'm still pretty surprised by this.

Of all the players I thought Edu could turn a profit / break even on, Nuno wasn't one, so fairplay to Edu here.

Nuno clearly wasn't up to the standard we needed, worth a punt though. Seems like a nice guy too so hopefully he does well in Italy.

If Tavares was bought for 8M in 2021 and we are selling him now for 9M in 2024, the accounting profit can't be 1M because his book value in 2024 would have to be less than the 8M purchase.

We received just over 1mil from Forest for the loan also.

Lol… i was wondering who would be the first to jump with the depreciation, inflation and all the other accounting skills they can show off.

Just be happy that we were able to move this liability on more than what we bought

Arsenal Quotes

The coach's role is to make the player understand everything that serves the interest of the game. To do this he must speak to the child within each player, to the adolescent he was and the adult he is now. Too often a coach tends only to speak to the adult, issuing commands for performance, for victory, for reflection, to the detriment of the child who is playing for pleasure, living in the present.
