Oleksandr Zinchenko: C’est Zinny

Wasn’t Martinez in addition to Zinchenko a possibility in the summer? Definitely feel if we make CL Holding and Tierney could be shifted for another CB that can play the inverted full back role.
Possible, but Zinchenko, Tierney and Tomiyasu are great options and depth for LB. Norton-Cuffy will come back next season to be another RB so that frees Tomiyasu to rotate any defensive position.

Now that Arsenal got a LB/CMF rather than LB/LCB in Martinez, they will likely buy a left-footed LCB to replace Holding. Like N'Dicka for cheap if he is willing. But Tomiyasu could also handle it.

City fans said he was injury prone when we signed him. That was the main reason he had so few apps every season. Looks like he’s carried that on here, already missed over half our league games.

I saw the other day that we have had the least injuries to our first XI than any club in the Premiership this season. Apart from Zin and Partey for a few games we have been almost fully strength.

Injuries to ESR, Vieira, Tomi, Elneny and Tierney have made our depth look a bit poor so far though.

That's been the problematic area for us - can't rotate and we have poverty options on the bench due to those injuries.

Zinchenko slapping Saka to the head, so he has to make a sudden movement, making us all gasp that he twists his ankle.

Tough game for him, but to be expected after having been out for a month.

Will only get better.

Think he instantly has shown, that he upgrade our team again in the way of playing football. He played CM more aften than as LB.

Normal that he is rusty after such a long time not playing.
