Surely has to be at the Bernabeu, we created so many chances early on.

That was great too, but I prefer us beating Juventus.

That Madrid team had some poor defensive players, you fancied we would get chances...while Juve had Thuram, Zambrotta, Vieira, Cannavaro etc.

Was an unbelievable first leg performance from Arsenal.

Can't separate Bernabeu or Juve at home, both fantastic nights.

Bernabeu was totally unexpected given the run we where on and the injuries we had at the time. I remember fearing for us a bit going into that one.

We just seemed to go up 4 gears for the rest of the season after that and the game with Juve at Highbury there was only going to be one winner. Juve where just as much of a "Galacticos" side as Real tbf.

...such an underrated goal, though I guess if you have a collection like The King's, sometimes certain ones don't get talked about enough.

And Liverpool were a defensively sound team under Benitez especially on CL nights, Walcott absolutely drove through them all like nothing, Mascherano didn't know what to do.

Can't believe we didn't win a single thing that season, that said all the other top 4 sides were so strong around this time.

What's weird about Walcott and maybe even someone like Ramsey is that people were willing to write them off at very young ages. Walcott was 21/22 and because he wasn't performing at a top level every week people were giving him abuse similarly to Ramsey after the leg break. Now we seem to have a bit more patience for players of similar ages. Maybe it's because both were signed at 16/17 and came with loads of hype they were expected to mature quicker but when you look back the expectations used to be ridiculous for young players. And even so you still saw a teenage Walcott produce moments like that or Ramsey scoring vs United in a crucial game shortly after his leg break.

Can't believe this match wasn't on tv, that Thierry solo goal deserved to be broadcast live...

Bit of a sad one for 'on this day'. Lucky enough to have seen Rocky play ❤️

I was fortunate enough to watch David Rocastle play, unfortunately not for Arsenal.
Had a Manchester City supporter workmate. 🟦⬜ Went to Maine Road with him a few times, saw Rocky play there.
Also saw him play for Chelsea 🟦🟦 in a pre-season match at Gloucester City. A 2 - 2 draw.

Totally unrelated, another player I saw, but not playing for Arsenal was Anders Limpar. He played in a pre-season at Gloucester City, for Everton. 🟦⬜
