One bet tooo far, for Lucas Paqueta

In an age where you can just twerk for the Saudis to get turbo rich as a good footballer, you have to be knee deep in your addiction to do stuff like this ffs.

Don't really care about the monetary aspect of this for us, just such a shame to see an entertaining footballer go out like this, he's a joy to watch.

Think his career is done, what a waste. This isn't a 1 year ban kind of thing from what I've read, looking more like 5+ years.

Yeah it's an addiction and whatever but I don't give a ****, you can't do stuff like this. Don't make your personal vices other people's problem.

🎶 Just won an acca, thanks to Lucas Paqueta 🎶🤑

Surely West Ham can sue Paqueta. I know he may have an addiction but iirc, Mutu was banned for taking drugs and Chelsea went after him. I'd certainly want an entire seasons wages, agents fee and a lump sum out of any player that did Arsenal dirty. It's always the half decent players who do this too 🤔

That Mutu one is wild

They chased him through the courts for 20 years ffs and he owes them way more than he ever made let alone snorted up his nose.

Mikel… Is this real?

Helped West Ham win their first trophy in 43 years, then gets banned for 10 years for a massive gambling issue.

That's sounds like a film starring Danny Dyer, tbh!

@2Smokeyy why you celebrating that City can’t get Paqueta now?

If anything this will just make them double down on Musiala… it’s not a good thing brev…

Remember when we sent the football association packing when they tried to charge Xhaka with something like this...

Assna bigger than FA...

Even here in A-M you had old farts like @Jury who was doing mental gymnastics 24/7 to keep that discussion alive that Xhaka was guilty

They would have gone for Musiala over Paqueta if there was a chance that he was moving this summer. Zero chance that Bayern sell their best player.

City probably have a better shot at getting Wirtz but I’m not worried about him. Good player and all however Pep would turn him into Grealish.

City these days are all about value for money as opposed to the best player available. Paqueta might have represented the best value for money option for them if he played his cards right. With him off the table now all bets are off… (all puns intended)

Agreed but I think that sort of policy is quite safe when you have KDB, Bernardo, Rodri etc all still performing consistently, so those value money signings can be sprinkled on top of the quality they’ve already got. I feel this summer is going to be a big one for them as the gap is narrowing and something tells me that Pep knows those guys can’t be relied upon for another long campaign. He’s itching to make a 100m signing as we saw with the Rice saga last summer but the question is who?

I ****ing love how we're so desensitized to City spending money that you say this despite them spending £100m on Gvardiol 💀

All season we hear crying about £65m for Havertz but Pep makes these kinds of signing all the time and no one cares.

That was crazy, classic A-M moment they are absolutely willing him to be guilty even tho Xhaka has a history of getting silly bookings.
