Suggested him a few weeks back. Think he'd do well. Rumour is he wants to go back to Holland mind you.

Guy’s alright going forwards still but he’s been a total liability defensively for Palace this year.

Been benched by Mitchell who’s hardly anything incredible.

Mixed opinion about PVA on the Palace forum. Seems he’s clearly better going forward and average at best defensively. They all think he’s leaving this month though. Seems a doable deal for Arsenal going by their reading.

He might be worse than Cedric or Maitland-Niles defensively but we’re better than than the majority of other teams in the league and the two of them are a huge hinderance on the left when we’re in possession.

I’d rather go for Juan Bernat but van Aanholt is a better option than what we have. He’s hardly Armand Traore. He’s been a key player for Crystal Palace over the years when they’ve performed very well in spells and got some notable results.

We’re currently mid-table.

I'm not against this at all. Van Aaanolt has proven to be a good Premier League player over the years. Either him or Bertrand are good backup options for us. I must say though Cedric has been looking very good at LB recently but I would prefer a natural left footer there. Would be a very shrewd window if we can get either him or Bertrand.
