Its alright, he 's being recognised for his ability to run and nothing more. I'm alright with that. Even in his best season since that fluke one he had 20 years ago, nobody can say he's doing anything particularly well other than run.

I like to think of him as the Cavani of fullbacks; he gets into great positions offensively/defensively but just ****s it a little when he actually has the ball. Still a very useful player, probably our best of the season.

That's a good description. Every team has them. He's played a big part, no doubt. Credit to Mourinho for retrying him at FB after looking shambolic under LvG. He's made it work.

Don't see how de Bruyne gets in anyone's team of the season - lots of assists but barely any goals or good performances.

Kante should win player of the year. But how often does a defensive midfielder win?

Dele Alli will win YPOTY,

Kane and Lukaku young player of the year? Yeah, that makes sense.

Quite interesting to see a midget player a.k.a Kante, being nominated for any prize, who in his entire football career, and not only, will not be able to have a proper ariel duel.

Merry-go-round, round, round
Kante-go-round, round, round.

Hazard deserves to win this.

Kante wasn't all that until Conte switched to a back 3 but there seems to be some weird fawning over him in England, though granted he is a good player.

Kanté got robbed last season. His presence was the difference between winning the league and being relegation candidates in Ranieri's system.

Last season was the perfect example of how biased people are towards attackers. There were better attackers in the league last season than Mahrez and Vardy; there wasn't a single better midfielder than Kanté.

For that reason alone, he should get the nod this season as he has maintained that level of performance.
