This might sound controversial, but I would say Raul. I feel like they're the opposite in terms of talents and how they performed.
While Del Piero had immense talent, his performances sometimes showed that he had his comfort zones and wasn't pulling the team with him.
Raul on the other side, wasn't blessed with the biggest talents, but he had the tenacity and grit to pull something out and led his teams by a remarkable example.

So far I would say Carrick had a better career to boot and is respected for the way he played and controlled the match. Rice still has a lot of years ahead of him and could well become better.
Cafu or Lahm
I think I have to say Lahm. He was the most boring football personality you'll ever see and he had no flair, but he was the better defender, he was more versatile, maybe not as good as an attacker.
