Does he get in the team currently?

Calafiori has so far been one of our best performers at LB, whilst Mosquera came in at CB in place of Saliba and put in a good performance and has shown enough to deserve the chance to play if Saliba is out.

I guess he’ll start out replacing Cala on the hour mark to protect him from himself.

Realised I didn’t even mention MLS… just feel like with this signing that he’s probably going to be getting more minutes in midfield instead.
Arteta like left footer at lcb. With Kiwior gone, either Calafiori or hincapie can play lcb

Good young defender. There are aspects of his game that he must improve on but he’s got the potential to be a really good Defender. I don’t think LB is his best position long term he’s a more natural CB but he can do a good job there.

I’m hoping he does well with us.

I think this is an excellent upgrade on Kiwior in terms of squad cover for team hoping to compete for all trophies. We'll need a LCB we can trust since Big Gabby is coming off a long injury, and you know how that usually goes. Hincapie is a 1 for 1 replacement for Kiwior there. Calafiori's record necessitates getting someone to cover LB too. Hincapie is an upgrade on Kiwior at LB cover for sure. Opens up the left half-space for Eze to attack with his overlapping runs. MLS makes his inevitable move to the center of the park, where he belongs. I always thought he was a strange fit at LB, even if he was good defensively.

The one thing that maybe concerns me is that now we have two back up CBs that are known to be particularly aggressive. Mosquera acquitted himself well defensively against Liverpool, but fail at one challenge and the other team is in behind if the other CB isn't laying back and covering. One of the reasons Big Gabby and Saliba work so well together is they usually split that role.

With how Calafiori performing nope he won't but we can rotate between both specially when we got 3 games a week we can also afford to let Gabriel rest and start one of them as CB in some games

i really surprise after watch game full match replay the way calafiori pocketed salah,

calafiori got many dangerous 1 vs 1 moment against salah and he did very well without help from martinelli, his defense improved significant really surprise me

Calafiori when fit he great to watch he unique type that's why I got upset last season when he got injured but now we got Hincapie who look similar it won't hurt us Massively in case Calafiori get injured

They brought this guy in for vik and Eze. We wanted the left side transformation and it's happened in a way we weren't expecting. Club still wants a long term lw too but this will make us more dynamic

Does the loan move for Hincapie have an option to sign him permently into next season like Odegaards original loan deal with us?

Obligation after certain conditions are met. It is definitely getting triggered, like the raya deal.

This guy is pretty decent, I've seen him play a few times, if there is an obligation for permanent I'm pretty happy with the sining, got a very strong backline for a number of years now.

from some accounts an upgrade on Kiwior that can comfortably slot in to cover both Gabriel and Calafiori with a penchant for setpieces and occasionally losing his temper. will probably get along with the rest like a house on fire.

I'm convinced we win the league if Calafiori stays fit for the whole season. He is that special.
But they are not leaving anything to luck this time.
This guy missed two games in his entire career. He is also 23 with so much experience already. Big potential. And we know Arteta bread and butter is defenders.
