Di Marzio saying PEA agreed personal terms with us until June 2021 and Dortmund are asking 60M euros but want to keep him until summer. he say we may include Giroud in the deal.
"Özil just needs a runner ahead of him."
Wenger buys one when Mesut has less than six months of his contract to go.
Ambition.
Also this, apparently:
Why only a 3.5 year deal? I'd prefer longer, he's a valuable asset.

3,5€ M can't be right? He is surely earning more or nearly the same at the moment.
That's probably an after tax figure. Looking at roughly 110k per week before.

If we signed him for 4.5 years that means that if he gets bad after 3.5 years, we need to pay off his contract when selling him. Probably pay some agent fees as well. And if he's bad, we won't be getting that much from a transfer fee so it results in a loss for us. On the other hand, if he signs for 3.5 but turns bad, we can just not renew. If he's still good, we can activate the option and still have the chance to sell him for a more decent fee than if he was shït.Just out of curiosity, because this was my qualm, what is the downside of giving him a 4.5 year contact instead of a 3.5?
My thought is that if he's on 4.5, we can still make money by selling him if/when he is no longer needed. 3.5 takes that choice away from us. I know there is the option to extend, but I mean in theory, why would 3.5 > 4.5 for the club? The possibility of us being forced to pay his wages the extra year?
