Clearly we will own possession and they will go long with Martinez hoping for errors or try to catch us on counters when we lose possession.

The problem they will have is we intend to use that possession to score many goals against their mediocre defense. They will need everyone back to protect against our movement, reducing their opportunities for long balls and counters.

Let’s see how well J.P. Morgan defends.

All I can say regarding Konsa mate mine is a diehard AV fan, thinks he is the worst sale they have made last couple of years.

He is 28 is to me peak years for full backs, midfield or forward.

GK or CB easy get 5 or 6 seasons out of the better ones.

I'm seeing Chelsea's front 3 being gassed up wayyyyy too much given they've played a poor Fulham and Brighton at home. Honestly sections of the media are talking as if their attack is MSN level ffs.

We've completely blanked far, far better attacks than what this Chelsea team can muster.

I actually want a clean sheet more than anything now 🤣
Yeah totally, they are dangerous obviously, but Morgan Rogers got a goal every 300 minutes last year in the league (10), Pedro's highest total is 15 and Cole Palmer... tbf when he's on form he can absolutely menace but he's streaky over a season.

Let's see, the match could go either way but over the season I think the difference between our defence and midfield is bigger than the difference between their attack and ours.

The defence and Rice won us the league.

Think we’re playing them at a really good time.

They become a lot more dangerous mid season when Alonso has had a bit more time with them, and they’re not as fatigued as the other teams with no Europe.

Get the win here and we’ve ticked off Villa and Chelsea who I think become very dangerous as the season progresses.

Is John Terry tapped? He thinks this Chelsea side look more physical than our current side 😂 what has made us go backwards lol signing Bruno G who isn’t afraid to rough players up…

Have never really liked the soft underbelly and get in their faces chatter. It’s what used to fuel knuckleheads from doing some really dangerous challenges and they’d get a slap on the wrist.

And he complains about not getting interviews for manager positions. Not only is his analysis outdated but it is clearly incorrect. Chelsea a physical side? Let alone more physical than us? They have one of the least physical midfield in the league. Palmer, Barco, Gusto etc. Only overtly physical player in there is Caicedo (and yes most of that is him just kicking people).

But then again this is the same guy who thought Saliba wouldn't get back into the starting 11 when he recovers from his injury.

Fantastic post but does it really merit being posted twice in two days? It's deja vu all over again.

I know plenty of their fans they hate us, no need to read what they think.

The balanced one or two I know would snap our hands off for a point.
I know they hate us, I’ve lived in London my entire life, but their start to the season has raised as many questions as answers imo. I’m not looking myself as i have a jinx on us whenever I do 😅

Anyone on here that likes a punt with Chelsea games both teams to score looks a pretty likely outcome.

Hopefully of course tomorrow we keep a clean sheet, but they will score goals against most sides way they are set up top.

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
