West Brom like Burnley have a good defensive record I think. Will be a close one. May need Giroud to come off the bench.

That has to be our best line up. Cazorla & Wilshere at their best may change it but as we are, that's our best line up.

Will be pleasantly surprised to see anything where we win by more than 1 goal. We seem to win against them at home usually, so I'll go 2-1 us.

Would love to give a Pulis side a paddling. Most likely we win 2-0. Looking forward to seeing Alexis/Lacazette/Özil trio if Mesut is fit enough to start.

  1. Özil and Sanchez simply don't fit into a 433.
  2. Giroud could be amazing but he needs a partner.
  3. We don't have any genuine wingers at the club
  4. We need a 3 man midfield to protect the back 4, Wilshere/Xhaka/Ramsey have the legs, passing range and tackling to be a nightmare for any premiership team to play against
  5. Mustafi and Koscielny started their partnership at the start of last season and were amazing. Hopefully, they can do it again.
  6. Kolasinac and Bellerin are both atheltic enoguh to get up and down that line and provide support to the forward line
  7. I'm a tactical genius.

Honestly I'd rather see Alexis playing behind Giroud and Lacazette than any XI featuring Özil. It counters West Brom's ability to just sit deep because they have to worry not only about Giroud in the air but about accounting for Lacazette's runs as well. They can't retain their shape and mark both strikers effectively and even if they could it would give Alexis acres of space. Plus we know both Laca and Alexis will put in the work to track back so Tank and Reverse Sampson will have more opportunities to get down the flank and whip balls in to Giroud without completely exposing the midfield and back 3. The only potential issue would be making sure Ramsey doesn't go walkabouts all match.
