We looked slightly okay against the worse team in the league. Every one keep harping on about our "30 shots" but if you watched the game you can't help but feel that we looked poor for most of the game. Up until last season when they beat us at home 1-0 can't really seem to remember the last time Burnley beat us. Hopefully Arteta doesn't break any new record.

I think we'll scrape this 1-2 or 0-1. Won't be pretty though.

Burnley are a horrible side, been wanting them to get relegated for years.

For all the talk of them being an 'old school plucky side' in the media they're one of, if not the biggest cheaters / time wasters / divers in the PL.

Wouldn't mind seeing Lacazette start here instead of Auba.

Expecting to see the same back four as last week. They'll get more protection as Partey will start.

From the very small sample size (Villareal), I agree, he was shocking. Guess it does take time to master a new position though.
He wasn’t even fit. And as you say needs time there. We can’t go around judging people off one game, or Cedric would have been crowned as the next Cafu last season.

So the idea was to convert Ødegaard to a CM? Nah. 4-2-3-1 is Artetas prefered formation.

Of course not, but if the plan is 433 (which Arteta has eluded to in the past) I really fail to understand why we didn't sign a specialised 8 in the summer. There were loads available in the summer (Sanches/Sabitzer ect). Again though this is speculation, Edu even said in his interview the plan is basically Partey and Xhaka, which in a lot of games is too flat for me.

We beat Burnley 5-0 in our greatest managers last home game in charge. Maybe you weren’t interested at the time but I was thinking wtf have our fans done. And here we are near the bottom of the table after 2 mid table finishes.
Are you actually using a dead rubber HOME game to support your argument . Wengers last home game ever was always going to end like this, it being the last home game of the season played a part.

Getting battered 3-1 by west brom in a game that did matter is more what I was thinking about. Lowest I’ve felt as a fan.

Arsène played W Brom 28 times and won 20 of them. Beat them 3-1 or better several times. That’s how you get top 4 for years, even spending 5th or below. Maybe you’re just a natural depressive.

I think we have to stick with Auba, he has his pace back, I think the rest will come. Only playing once a week so stick with him. Laca can play cup games.
