how do you explain we conceded 5 goals in 2 games? Is it just purely the players fault?

The first goal yesterday was Mkhitaryan’s fault. The second one you could blame Mustafi but I’d be more inclined to blame the high line which is an Emery tactic. The third goal was on Lacazette.

We are lucky didn't conceded from high line but it doesn't mean the tactic is right.... The reasons why all the players made those mistakes are because our defence are not compact and too open which give space to the opponent..the manager has to fix the defence, otherwise we are nothing different from wenger era

We are still ****. Losing to sarri who is only few weeks in charge Chelsea tells you how **** emery is
You need to remember Chelsea won the league two seasons ago and the team hasn't drastically changed. In fact the main bulk of that team has won two of the last 5 titles. They are unfortunately starting from a much higher level than us.

Good news: no false hopes no delusions, we need to get better asap. Truth serum these two first games.

Emery's starting XI still leavease somd question marks:
Why no Ramsey? and no Lacazette? No Torreira?

Still depressed about yesterday i think a kick up the arse by emery over the last 2 games will do them good. We have 2-3 lazy players who let the team down simple as that. We need energy and movement and defend as a unit.

Just can't agree Bob , even in their title winning season we beat them twice and since the FA we hadn't lost to them , dominated them in quite a few matches . When we turned it on even yesty we had them pinned back . It's purely down to bad organisation we conceded the first two .

Plenty of positives to take, we now go into a run of more winnable games on paper. We should great character in coming back to 2-2 and ended up missing 4 sitters so could have even been out of sight at one stage.

In terms of defending, well we haven't spent nearly enough to bring the real top quality back there so at this moment I'm not expecting much in that regard, maybe we'll defend better as a team in time.

When was the last time we've won at the Bridge?

TBF if we would have scored the 100% chances we would have won the game but its just typical Arsenal. to blame Emery for yesterday is not fair players are letting the club down again. Only thing to blame Emery for is not starting Lacazette or Ramsey.

The first two goals were brutal but there was also a period when Chelsea just toyed with us and they done much the same for the second half. If anything half time came at the wrong time for us.

I said during the game how has Sarri got them playing like given Emery has been here slightly longer and has had the benefit of a full pre season. Then I thought about it. Yes we've recently had Chelseas number but like I said they've still won titles with Hazard, Kante, Pedro, Azpilicueta, Willian. We may have not lost to them in one off games the same way we didn't lose to Leicester when they won the league but against the other 18 they had the consistency and quality. And unfortunately Chelsea still have that quality. They are starting from a higher level than us. They just downed tools last season just like they did the season after Mourinho won the league in 2014.
