That was a very poor performance against the worst united team since LVG. Truly horrible. I'd take a thrashing from Liverpool or city over that that performance any day of the week. We seemed to drop 20 yards back after scoring each of our goals.

Everton are in poor form currently. Evertonians wants Rafa's head on a pike. Should be winning this easily but I think we'll take an early lead and the rise out the storm the rest of the game similar to the Leicester game.

Everton has been dire. I don't want to see that trademark cautious football. Let's go for the jugular.

Think Arteta will have to drop Auba. It's just criminal man management to continue playing him and letting take all the flak. This was one of wenger's best strength. He was extremely good at taking out his players from the firing line and taking the bullet for them.

Push Martinelli forward and play Laca behind him. But I don't think that would happen.

Think Lokonga will take his place beside Partey in midfield or we might see Tierney back for this.

Prediction: A drab, boring win

Will probably rest ESR for this. Looks very tired. Drop Auba and play Laca (can't believe I'm saying this ) but even he probably needs a time out. Get Tierney back. Like Tavares but have to give Tierney his chance back to stake his claim for the LB spot.

Saka-Ødegaard-Martinelli

My Everton supporting Brother in Law went to the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday night. Still haven't had the nerve to text him to ask how the game was. He was not a Rafa fan when he was appointed, don't think that opinion has changed.
Everton started the season off well, find themselves on a bad run. Liverpool took Everton apart with four well taken goals. Hope we can produce a similar sort of result at Goodison Park.

These Everton fans are not happy. Leaving the Merseyside Derby early. Life is not ONEderFOUR.

Expect another loss. We don’t tend to do well there and they are fighting for their lives. I can see us scoring early and defend deep and them taking over. Once they score it will be hard to change momentum

Anything other than a win is simply unforgivable now. In the space of a few days we could go from a commanding position over United to them being either level with or overtaking us pretty soon. And we're in danger of letting Sp**s close the gap too. Arteta really needs to start showing his worth, go on a winning run over the festive period in these relatively easy fixtures.

If we are serious about Champions League this season, we need to be going into that match v City in January with 6 league wins in a row...that's very doable, with our fixtures.

Villa doing the double over us, with Emi keeping a clean sheet in both...was probably the lowest point, of an awful season last year.

Last few years, we always randomly get badly beaten by some poor team in terrible form...got to love the consistency!

Nothing better than some StokeBall on a Monday night. Everton don’t play much better either.

Most of the every team we've played this season apart from Liverpool, city and Chelsea have had one problem or the other. I see another 1-0 win here and then looking good for top 4 only for us to balls it up in our next game classic Arteta style.

Routine win against a crap team. We move on. Eyes on the prize.
Just imaging what you would have said in the old days if I'd posted top 4 was a prize. There'd have been more bleeps than words.

Like a lot of clubs, Everton have gone down the pan this season. Arteta will never get a better chance of top 4 the leagues so poor.

An easy win here, they haven't won in 8 games. Even Watford put 5 past them at Goodison Park.

Chances per game stat is still a big worry. It almost seem like every team we've played this season has a higher chance per game than us.
